Infrastructure and faculty of MMDU are so good. As B.Tech in Software Development was newly introduced, I found a bit of problem from management end and course also at early phases. But now I am really pleased.

I didn’t pass an entrance exam to get admission, instead, I got admission through counseling. I came MMDU to pursue Computer Science in Software Development. I got reference about MMDU, Mullana as well as for Software Development course through a consultancy. The associated faculty described me entire regarding this course and its education process. As soon as I filled the form for the course, the faculty fixed an interview for me. On the basis of my good communication skills and academic capabilities, then, I got admission here.

The course is mind-blowing. As this course follows learn-by-doing approach, it is a really amazing experience to pursue this. What I have experienced that this course is totally based on various projects and we have to work on the live projects from the very first day of our classes. The course not only helps us learn about technical skills but also teaches us communication as well as behavior skills.

Yes, we are doing an internship, but the company we are working for is frictional. In future, we can assume that there will be no such type of companies for an internship. However, the overall experience to work for companies on live projects is really amazing.

I have just completed the first year of my course. As the software development course has been launched this year only, I don’t have much idea about placement opportunities. However, I came to know that the university has contact with many good companies, so it can be expected that our college will provide good opportunities for us. I also attended a workshop organized by Infosys Company on our campus.

The college organizes many events for students which includes Universum and Ammunition. Both of these goes over a month and consist of many fun-filled activities like singing and dancing. Every student is free to participate in the events organized by the university. A concert by Shirley Setia and Jublin Nautiyal was also organized for the students.

The fee structure was on the basis of US dollar currency. I paid 2500 for the course and it includes university fee of Rs 7500 also. It makes our fees 1,74,500 for me. With the change in dollar value, our fee also changes. According to me, the fees for such as rich course and learning environment is really feasible

For my course, there is no scholarship. But yes, the loan facility is offered to the students by the university. Many bank branches are there in the campus. Staff working in them is always there to help us for loan or any other bank-related problems.

Students from different countries visit our campus. We feel really happy and comfortable here. Things like Ragging, Sexual Orientation and Religion Ethnicity are strictly banned on our campus. As I am from Nepal, I feel like MMDU is my second hometown.

The hostel facility is good. Rooms offered to students are really spacious and attached washrooms. Though the taste of food is average, things like cleanliness, hygiene, and health are taken care by associated staff. Our warden is really supportive and takes immediate action on any complaints.

As this is the first batch of our course, we don’t have any seniors. But yes, seniors from other departments are always ready to help us. They always guide us as per their experience. If we are facing any kind of problem, our seniors show a right path to us.

First year comprises of five subjects. Out of which two exams are of Physics (practical and theory) and Calculus (practical). The other three subjects are open book examination which are designed to test our practical skills. The tests are taken on the basis of projects done by a student.

The faculty members are good. They are always ready to help us. Best of all, our faculty is highly educated and experienced. The best thing I experienced here is that our faculty don’t treat us as a student, instead of as an intern. We are learning as well as working on various projects here as anyone would do in a company. Our faculty is making students job-ready.
