HITK is the best private college of Kolkata. Even better than IEM

The curriculum followed is upto industry standards and usual MAKAUT syllabus is followed. Hitk is an autonomous institute i.e the institute designs and checks the answer sheets of semester exams. The course is well designed to prepare students and help in overall development.

Internships are offered from 2nd year. It is not compulsary to sit for interships placement. Many students also get internship opportunity off campus. Internships are mostly paid and you can expect 8 to 10k per month

The placement senario is comparitively goo. The average package offered is around 5 lakhs per annum. Various students were offered high package of around 10lpa. Even during recession 85% students were placed. The on campus companies have a positive view of the quality of students in HITK.

The fees is comparitively low. The aprrox fee per semester is 45k-50k. The total course fees for btech comes at around 4 lakhs. There is no sudden hike in fees for now. But the fees may increase for students taking admission from 2024. The college has no scholarship of its own but there is an ews quota for which the fees is significantly less.

The campus life is one of the best in west bengal. The environment is enjoyable and lively. The library is well equiped and has a good collection. The labs in campus are well maintained and the equipments are high level. The college has various cultural programs throughout the year and student participation is encouraged. There is a competitive environment in sports with various inter college and inter department competitions.

The admission is merit based through WBJEE and JEE mains exam . A small number of students are enrolled through mq. Admission process is quite simple through WBJEE councilling. Once alloted you must visit the campus to complete the paperwork and fee payment. Upon complition you will recieve a confirmation slip. There is no state quota reservation, students from all states can apply.
