Likes

College has good course as it is autonomous
Library has good amount of books and fully furnished
Professor is very helping on any needs and you will be needing

Dislikes

Canteen food is not upto the mark and a bit to expensive
It doesn't have any fest and technical support is not that helping
Campus is very small and doesn't provide the campus life I was wishing for

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is relevant for the need for the particular field and course is designed in such a way that it prepares for the real-world applications as it teaches for the market needs . It conducts surprise test after every topic is finished

Fees and Financial Aid

It is projected that the fees is going to increase in upcoming year but for our tuition fees is around 4 lakh of 4 year . It provides alot of opportunities like It has tie-up with foreign universities for the course.

Campus Life

Campus is a bit smaller than expected as It consists of three buildings. Library is accessible to every student and has good amount of books that a student will be needing for his course. Every classroom has projecter but no AC classroom

Admission

Every one who qualified 12th with any board and 45% in PCM( physics, chemistry,maths) It is conducted by the wbjee board and the exam is wbjee . It is maximum of 200 marks and 4 hour of paper which consists of Maths of 100 and chemistry and physics of 100 marks. Reservation is depends upon college to college for west bengal students. Jadavpur University is the most popular college 80% for west bengal students and 20% for outside States

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
