- Infrastructure of the college is good. The campus is very clean and green.
- The faculty is very experienced, some have more than 40 years of experience in their respective domains.
- Food is of good quality and other amenities such as medical centre, gym, and almost every necessity is available inside the campus
Dislikes
- Rules are too strict. Everyone has to return back to their hostels by 7:30pm in summers and 6 pm in winters
- Lack of a proper sports ground , though a small ground is there at the boys hostel but it is small
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is quite comprehensive and rigorous. Each and every topic is covered in a detailed manner. Classes are well planned in advanced and what will be taught in the class is pre decided. A particular course of Design Thinking, I believe is a very good corse because it inculcates a habit and thinking creatively and it states some key metrics that are essential for any business. Case studies are emphasized greatly in every domain and various guest lectures from industry experts are provided in every subject or domain. Most of the faculty is very experienced but a few are not that good. The college should focus on providing practical industry knowledge as well, for e.g. how to carry out market research in markrting, etc. There are 6 trimesters in total and the difficulty level of exams is moderate
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are provided by the college. Not 100% students get the internships from college but around 50% get it through the college. Various companies visit the college for the intership process, most prominent ones being KPMG, CVENT, Marsh Insurance, Big basket, Bharati AXA, Digit Insurance, etc The stipend varies from INR 7000 per mont to INR 60000 per month . Roles include sales, market research, finance analyst, etc.
Placement Experience
College boasts a 100% placement record. Highest package in 2023 stood at INR 23.43 LPA, average package being INR 11.25 LPA. Over 92 organizations such as KPMG, EY, Maruti suzuki, TATA AIG, Tech Mahindra, Dabur, WIPRO, ADP, Deloitte, etc participated in the placement drive and placed students across various sectors like consultancy, financial services, FMCG, Insurance, Bamking, Sales, Etc. Recently FOR batch of 2024 BLACKROCK visited the campus and took 15 students from finance domain. The average packade witnessed an increaseof 20% in 2023 as compared to 2022.
Fees and Financial Aid
Complete cost of my education here at BIMTECH is around 18 lakh rupees, which includes all the expenses icluding hostel and mess charges. BIMTECH offers scholarships based on merit in entrance exams, academic performance during programme. Candidates scores in CAT/XATGMAT : 1. >=95-100, will get scholarship INR 7 lakh 2. >=90-94, scholarship INR 5 lakh 3. >=85-90 , scholarship INR3 lakh 4. >=80-84 , schlorship INR1 lakh Merit schlorship is provided for the first 2 batch toppers of each course respectively.
Campus Life
The social life here at bimtech is amazing. A pleothora of events keeps happening now and then . Fests like Vihaan ( cultural Fest ), Prakrida ( sports fest ), Reflections ( Alumni meet ) , etc. There are around 13 clubs and conduits present ranging from data analytics , culture, sports , etc are there and they keep on organizing their specific events throughout the year. library has over 41000 books , 209 periodicals/ journals , more 13860 online journals and more than 20000 company databases . Digital facilities are available and students also have access to online resources such as Harvard Business Publishing , Case centre, Ace Equity, NPTEL, DELNET, etc. Gym, basketball court, volleyball court and badminton court is present and overall the sports and extra curricular facilities are good , also all the clubs and conduits are totally student led and driven.
Hostel Facilities
In the hostel room bed, study table, cupboards, bookshelves is provided . boys and girls hostel is separate, boys hostel is around 1 km away from the main campus but regular shuttle service is provided . food is great as compared to other colleges and hostels . A wholesome diet is given to the students. Only veg food alond with eggs is served, no non veg food, also tea, coffee, milk is provided. Menu is quite vast with a lot of differentiation and variety. Sweet dish is served each day in dinner and is very tasty. Hostel and mess charges are 101100 for 6 months which I belive is a bit expensive for a locality like greater noida .
Admission
I had applied for the PGDM(core) programme, the cutoff was around 75%ile, and my CAT score was 79.48%ile. The application form was there on the BIMTECH website, the application fee was Rs 2000. The application process was seamless and consisted of an application and then a personal interview round. The level of the questions in the interview was good, some questions revolved around previous academic background and some regarding general knowledge. The college accepts CAT, XAT and CMAT exams, with cutoff scores being around 75%ile, 75%ile and 90%ile respectively. For improvement, they can also include a GD round along with the PI round, which would result in better intake quality
Interview Experience
After filling out the application form, there was only a PI round. Questions revolved around Undergrad academic background and General knowledge , also why you want to pursue MBA . I prepared for the GK questions from newspaper and Various Youtube channels such as StudyIQIAS , Thinkschool , etc.
