Remarks

overall college is good and management too.

Course Curriculum Overview

1

The course is hard to pursue. I've spent sleepless nights and worked hard to pass m exams due to poor teaching in the college and compulsory 90% attendance for every student which seems to be a complete waste of time. The 1st year is like hell, being new to this field and having no idea about the question papers and syllabus you will struggle to even pass the exams but in 2nd year you will cope up with your subjects and will know how to manage.

Internships Opportunities

I'm doing my internship now.I expected alott from this college and all the money which I have spend all these years are not worth it.I still need to struggle even more for a job.

Placement Experience

0.5

Being a deemed, job opportunities are low due to lesser requirements in the college hospital and there are no placements so you need to do MD/MS to get a job. so I would recommend you to join a college like KMC MANIPAL,KMC MANGALORE,SDU KOLAR or KS HEGDE to get a job in future.

College Events

0.5

There is ONLY 1 event celebrated annually called JAYCIANA in which huge crowd makes it a B grade show. There will not be any celebrity invited instead the college management itself becomes judges of the show wherein only a few students are given chance to perform and show their talents.

Fee Structure And Facilities

EXPENSIVE. According to MCC you need to pay 15 lakhs annually but college demands approx. 8 lakhs every year in the name of mess fee, library, welfare fee etc. BETTER TO JOIN A COLLEGE LIKE VMKV SALEM THAN JSS According to 2018 admissions,a total of 62 lakh tuition fee and 30 lakhs extra fee will be amended reaching the price to 92 lakhs for entire course including hostel fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

No.unfortunately there is no scholarship given to any of the candidates.

Campus Life

1.5

GENDER RATIO: boys:girls=shockingly 3:1.Most of the girls don't join here due to high fee structure and poor job opportunities but boys being rich duds join here paying high fee and later struggle to even pass exams There is no life in MBBS.No sports no extra activities for that matter no proper sleep.ONE WORD THAT SUITS THIS COLLEGE WOULD BE 'JAIL'

Admission

I applied through kcet and got admission through KEA but now there is neet exam which is national entrance exam and fee for deemed colleges has raised ridiculously high to the peak.Hope you get a govt seat.PLEASE never trust the false agents who take huge processing fee and promise you a medical seat and later cheat you and run away. This college has no authority to admit students on their own and only govt approves candidates for admission.

Faculty

1.5

The campus is all in all OK but the lab facilities are really poor(struggled alott during my lab exams).Teachers are biased and there are 200 students in a class which is very congested.Sometimes you wont be able to even listen to what teacher is teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.
