- The first thing i liked was the greenery of the campus. The campus is very good for the health of students
- The gender ratio here is very good compared to all other engineering colleges.
- The faculty here is very good and knowledgeble. One can discuss any sort of academic or project problems with the professors.
Dislikes
- The curriculum is old and it could be updated.
- The ground is big and good but isnt maintained properly. the ground looks like a wasteland with dust blowing all over.
- Sometimes there is water crisis in the campus which leads to problems. because the campus is located remotely.
Course Curriculum Overview
the course curriculum here is kind of balanced. I didn't find any problems in the curriculum its easy. but my immediate junior year has seen worse. their marking was very harsh. the one thing I think that can be changed here is the course itself. the course of core subjects in most of the colleges in India is old, and the world is updating itself, which results in the lagging behind of the students of Indian engineering colleges. The faculty here is top notch and pretty renowned people.
Internships Opportunities
The internship Opportunities offered here are all good, I haven't had my own intern yet but I know I will be able to grab one intern when the time comes. The students not only get interns on campus but also off campus.
Placement Experience
The placements of the college are good and it is all possible because of the quality of students and the very fine TPO we have. As far as I know in my branch(final year) almost all the students have been placed with an average package of 8.5LPA. The training and placement cell of NITH is very good and gets most of the students placed. There are even companies visiting the campus for offering interns to the students.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure here is also very good compared to other engineering colleges. Almost every student here finds a scholarship based on any sort of criteria. Although I couldn't find one till now. but most of the students here have found a scholarship. There is no on campus employment for students but the placement drive this year was very good and almost 80 percent of the students have been placed.
Campus Life
The campus life is good. i mean the campus is really lush green and a walk around the campus makes me feel lighter. the social activities are also appreciated. there's a club or society for every sort of passion from music to karate to athletics to robotics. One can find people with similar interests with ease here.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is average, there are worst hostels in other colleges. The mess menu can be altered by the students and all the hostel facilities are autonomous posts acquired by students who are willing for the post. The rooms are clumped because of the crowding of students by increasing the intake of the students.
Admission
The admission to this institute was done through josaa counseling. I had to take the Joint Entrance Examination to get a rank to be eligible to join this institute. I had taken the JEE exam before as well but my rank wasn't enough to join this institute. My JEE rank was about 31000 but this much rank is good enough to get a better engineering college than NITH. I just wasn't aware of the other colleges. Most of the students here are have a rank more than me. The aspect of the admission process I didn't like were that I didn't knew of the better colleges that were open to me
