Course Curriculum Overview

I am doing b.tech in mechanical engineering. It is very good course.aspects that influence me to doing this course is automobile industry that is very big in India. Curriculum prepares us for real world like doing engineering workshops, knowing how a car and its parts work. Areas of improvement are that enhances use of technology in class. Per sem that is of 6 months their exam in the end sem . Their is two semesters in per year where we have to give exams in end of semester

In 7th semester we are eligible for the campus placement.and for the last year almost 86 percent of mechanical engineering got placed and for the current session 18 lakh has been the package without any interview.

Tuition fees per year is around one lakh in my category. Complete cost of education around 8 lakh . Many Scholarship are available in college. Providing you have eligible for scholarship. I don't know about as much about campus employment

Hostel Facilities

In the hostel you are provided with room set where 3 or 4 members in a room.you have provided with bed and almirahs. Meal quality is very good. Good but not compare to home as good. When you come in for admission after registration in college you have to register for hostel.you have to pay hostel fees and a room is allowed to you.i haven't rented any pg or room

This college is very good. Eligibility criteria for this , we have to clear joint entrance examination. At nta website we have to fill form of Joint entrance examination for admission in this college. You have benefits of reservation in fees . Like on the basis of income you have fees deduction per sem . Frequency of jee exam is two attempt in per year.i didn't notice any areas of improvement like they improve in verification process

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

Everything about my college

When I was applying for engineering, I had filled applications for a few other NITs and state engineering colleges, but finally I chose NIT Hamirpur because of its good academic reputation, supportive campus environment, and better placement opportunities compared to the others. Some colleges I applied to had very high cutoffs and I couldn’t make it there because my JEE Main score was slightly lower than required, but NIT Hamirpur’s cutoff matched my rank, so I got admission here. The admission process was through JEE Main followed by JoSAA counseling, which is the most common and preferred route for B.Tech aspirants. The eligibility was 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and the cutoff for civil engineering here was comparatively achievable for me. The overall admission process was transparent and smooth, from registering for counseling to final seat allotment. I applied just in government degree college , kullu where I opted bsc but this college is far better than Kullu College in terms of facilities to faculty, as well as ranking , reputation. The admission was done by josaa. The admission process was easy. Simply go to their online portal and submit details and required documents. NIT Hamirpur offers more than 30 programmes at UG, PG and doctoral level. Candidates seeking admission to any of these courses must appear for the respective entrance exam and qualify its cutoff. NIT Hamirpur offers a four-year BTech programme across nine specialisations in full-time mode. The selection of candidates to NIT Hamirpurs BTech programme is based on their JEE Main score. The centralised counselling process is managed and regulated by the JoSAA, based on which the candidates are allotted seats.
