The college management is good. Overall the college is a fair choice. The infrastructure is not too great but average.

JSPM's JSCOE has always been known for its evergreen Mechanical Department. I had a senior friend studying in the Mechanical Department of the same college, he had given me very great reviews & his experiences about the college which inspired me to join the course at this college.

The course curriculum is great as per the University guidelines. The course covers all the classroom sessions as well as the practical Lab sessions & the workshop hours as defined by the Pune University. There are timely class tests and unit exams & mock exams before the Final University Semester exams.

The college does support in getting Internships but it is completely the student's responsibility to grab the correct opportunity & prove his/her deserving candidature for the given opportunity. Stipends are variable depending upon the performances of the candidates.

The placements & job opportunities & fairly good. Some batches have seen very great placement drives while a couple of batches had to struggle with the placements dues to the low market conditions. The college does bring in good companies for the bright & deserving candidates & also arranges pool placement drives within multiple campuses for JSPM Institute.

There are multiple cultural & traditional events conducted by the college every year with an extraordinary enthusiasm. The events mostly take place in the 2nd semester of every year giving a pleasant college experience to the students throughout the course. The college also conducts technical events inviting the participants from other colleges & hence raising the spirits of the students by giving an appropriate sense of competition.

The fee structure again follows the norms put by the University & the Fee Structuring committee. The fees in 1st year include also a deposit amount which is refundable post completion of the course. There are separate charges for the college stationary apart from the tuition fees which is mandatory for the submission of practical/lab files.

The college has no scholarships on self apart from the ones that are provided by the government. But the college allows the part fee payments for the students on special requests & other concessions can be availed too by contacting the students section in the college.

The college campus is an average college campus as any typical Engineering college in Pune. The campus is fully equipped with the WiFi connectivity. There is a canteen in the college campus & there are a couple of gardens in the campus. The campus is very green giving a refreshing feel in the campus. There are students coming from various parts of the state and also from other states.

Surely the alumni network of the college is great. The passed out students are always read to help the current students. The Alumni students also are of a great help with the placement of the current students & keep updating the college about the available opportunities in the market for the students.

The exam structure is well aligned with the university structure. There are monthly class revision tests followed by unit exams for every subject. Mock exams are conducted for written as well as the practicle exams prior to the final university exams. The exams in college are conducted in a completely unbiased way to caliber every students potential perfectly.

The admission procedure is same as every Engineering college in Maharashtra, i.e through the CAP rounds of admission post MH-CET results & AIEEE results. I had to register for the CAP rounds online & then as the rounds began I filled the online list of choices of college & got selected in JSPM's JSCOE in the very 1st round.

The faculty for the Mechanical Department in JSCOE is good. The professors that conduct classes are experienced folks & some of them have previous industrial experience to give a very practical approach to their teaching techniques. The staff is very supportive to students & are of very helpful nature.
