I like good facilities,teaching , spots facilities
there is open air theatre as well in the campus
Full staff , fee structure fees is very affordable

Dislikes

Some what less opportunity for the placement especially for civil
9 to 4 time table , also there is no 5 day week
Electrical engg is not here this trade can also be added in future

I choose the Civil Engineering because I have interest in this field .The teaching method is good here nd course subject is good as well There will be two mid term exam in a semester and one end semester exam

Internships Opportunities

There are many companies in which you can do internship. There is period of 45 days after 6th semester in which you can do internship. Also in 8th semester you can go for industrial training. Also Some IIT approaches students here for the internship they also gave them stipend

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for one semester will be around 25k to 30k .It is pretty good. There is hostel as well which will cost around 5000 for 6 months. You can also apply for the scholarship here There are several scholarship such as nsp, sjvn.

Name of annual fest that held here is TWASK . This fest held in the month of May . the facility of book and Library is good . All the books are available here . There is also one annual sports competition Several sports are here to play . There are also several clubs which can be join

Eligibility for the course is 12th and you need to fill HPCET exam from hptu official site application form for this will open soon or you can also took admission according to your JEE MAINS Score. The Exam will be around May-JUNE . There are several colleges that come under this university.

Placement Experience:

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

Great Learning, Friendly Campus, and Bright Future

I applied to AKTU, IPU, and a few private colleges. I got selected in 2, but picked this college as it has low fees, good teachers, and fair job offers. Seniors also gave good reviews about the labs and coding help. Yes, I could not get a seat in IPU due to low rank. I was close but missed the cutoff for CS. My JEE score was not high enough. I did not apply under spot round as I had already joined this college. Admission is based on JEE Main or state test like HPCET. Cutoffs differ for each branch. You need to pass 12th with PCM.
