Likes

I like the campus of the college because it's on the hilly surface surrounded by the nature
The faculty of our department is very nice. They have very strong knowledge of the subject and also they are involved in very good research project.

Dislikes

Mess food of the college Is not good and some time the dinner is not eatable
Some old hostels room are not maintained properly .Even they have not proper basic facilities
Water supply got shorted in summer season and you find the difficulty to get drinking water .

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum offer by the college is quite good.Btech course includes 8 semester that has to be covered in 4 years . The each subject in every semester contains some credits and the credits of your first year subejcts is quite high as compared to other subjects. Throughout the 4 year each semester have given one mid term and one end term examination and you have to score above 15 marks to each subject to pass the exam

College provide intership opportunity to the students. There are very few companies that has to come for summer internship in the college . students of 3rd and 4th year can apply for this internship and also some students apply for off campus and research internship in many IIT and IIM

College provide good placement facilities. students get avg package of 11 lpa.And the highest package is upto 1.5cr. some amazing product base and service a base company also come for good roles like sde,data analyst, consultant, embedded system design engineer, frontend and backend developer, app developer etc. Some amazing company like Amazon microo also came for on campus placements .And many students are apply for off campus jobs and got very good package. But at the same time there are very few core companies for civil engineering study and electrical engineering students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The semester fees of the student having general Category is 75 thousand and for odd semesters the hostels fees is 35 k and for even semester it has to be 25k .you have to spend 60 thousand for your hostel fee in one year . And students having special category have to pay 13k as there institute fees and students having income less than 5lakh/year have to pay 35k as their semester fees. Students also apply for many scholarship through Nsp portal. You can also apply for education loan to pay your whole college fees

Campus Life

The environment of the college is quite good.you have some amazing places to hangout with your friends the campus life is very amazing . There are many clubs and societies in nit hamirpur like spec ,gdsc ,iste etc. Also there are 1 annual culturial and annual tech fest of the college called as nimbus . Also the infrastructure of the college is very good. Some hostel are very old. But some hostel were built newly. Hostels life is very good . There is in time restriction in first' year but after it there was no in time restrictions

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are quite good,and food provide by the hostels are quite good.The water supply is not proper in the hostels. And in summer days water gets shorted in every hostels. Indian the 1st year students get kalish boys hostel and girls got ambika girls hostel . The food of kalish boys hostel in very good as compared to other hostels. Every day you get one seasonal fruit and milk. On the weekend you got biryani and chole bhature etc. And also their is arrangements of special dinner on some special purposes. Laundary services also provide by the hostels. Stationery and daily need essentials shop , sbi bank and post office also very near to the hostels so no need to worry

For getting addmission in nit hamirpur you want to crack jee mains examination with the good all India rank and after this you have to apply for the college through josaa counselling and then you haveto choose your branch and after this you can get addmission in this college

Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

Everything about my college

When I was applying for engineering, I had filled applications for a few other NITs and state engineering colleges, but finally I chose NIT Hamirpur because of its good academic reputation, supportive campus environment, and better placement opportunities compared to the others. Some colleges I applied to had very high cutoffs and I couldn’t make it there because my JEE Main score was slightly lower than required, but NIT Hamirpur’s cutoff matched my rank, so I got admission here. The admission process was through JEE Main followed by JoSAA counseling, which is the most common and preferred route for B.Tech aspirants. The eligibility was 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and the cutoff for civil engineering here was comparatively achievable for me. The overall admission process was transparent and smooth, from registering for counseling to final seat allotment. I applied just in government degree college , kullu where I opted bsc but this college is far better than Kullu College in terms of facilities to faculty, as well as ranking , reputation. We can get admission in this college by giving jee main and students get this by josaa and csab counselling online. The admission was done by josaa. The admission process was easy. Simply go to their online portal and submit details and required documents. NIT Hamirpur offers more than 30 programmes at UG, PG and doctoral level. Candidates seeking admission to any of these courses must appear for the respective entrance exam and qualify its cutoff. NIT Hamirpur offers a four-year BTech programme across nine specialisations in full-time mode. The selection of candidates to NIT Hamirpurs BTech programme is based on their JEE Main score. The centralised counselling process is managed and regulated by the JoSAA, based on which the candidates are allotted seats.
