Course Curriculum Overview
My curriculum i.e. Electronics and communication engineering was quite an attractive offer to take at the time where everyone was just going towards CSE. As due to recession, most of the people in IT sector were in grave danger of lay offs but what I saw was the opportunities that ece opens such as I can go in IT sector after 4 years , or in ece core itself , or pursue mtech , or even secure a job in any respectful PSU. overall my course is quite a good offer to take but in my college , the faculty is just average except some good old teachers.
Internships Opportunities
I'm currently learning about unity and ar vr and in that field there is a lot of scope in internships. But as a male , it is quite difficult to grab one as girl students are given heavily recommendations
Placement Experience
The placements of my college have became quite bad gradually, and they have fallen quite badly . Even the cse students are struggling to get good placements here and also the arrival of companies has also been shortened.
Fees and Financial Aid
My tution fee is approximately 35k for odd semesters and 37-40k for even semesters . There are lot of scholarships available for students . I myself got a scholarship that provides me with 12k per annum but the problem was I had to apply and renew it every year , so I forgot to claim it in 2nd year and I didn't get it. There is a lot of scope in internship for girl students but not much for boys.
Campus Life
There are two annual fests namely the Hill'fair and the Nimbus. The Hill'fair is the cultural fest and the Nimbus is technical. Nimbus is usually held in the month April and Hill'fair in November.Campus life is pretty awesome here.
Hostel Facilities
I have a 3 seater room which is nicely spaced and furnished. But the meals and menu is just average. The registration process is that you have to go to SBI collect and pay the instructed amount there and then show the receipt in your given hostel's warden office.
Admission
The eligibility of my course was clearance of Jee mains . I got 97.2 percentile in my first attempt and with my obc reservation benefit , I grabbed the ECE 4year seat in the CSAB councelling. Talking about the difficulty I got the hardest shift on 26th June of the first attempt and I got 140~ marks in that securing 80 marks in physics, 55 in chemistry and 7 only in maths . The maths of that shift was the toughest.
