Remarks

The college management was good back in 2009 but it started degrading as time passed by. No idea of current situation.

Entrance Preview

It was one of the top 5 private colleges of Odisha back in 2009. It had good placement record for last few years before my joining. It had hostel stay just opposite the college. The campus was good. Through acquaintances, got to know that lecturers and deans were above average for most of the streams.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum for computer science engineer was good. It had all important papers like C, C++, Java, Data Structure, AI and many more. Some of the lecturers and HOD were highly qualified. We had 47 papers in 8 semesters. Labs were also of good quality.

Internships Opportunities

I'm not sure. Students who study Mtech there get a stipend and they can take classes also for Btech students.

Fees and Financial Aid

There was some scholarship but I'm not sure how that worked. No idea about loans. Some students got loans based on their 12th percentage.

Campus Life

Campus life was good. The gender ratio was good. Diversity-wise, there were people mostly from Odisha and nearby states like Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal. Labs were in good condition. Once in a year, some extra curricular activities like debates, essays, public speaking, etc. were organized during annual function week.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel was good and spacious. Provided study tables and chairs. Food quality was good. If not good, you can complain. Security was good. There were bit of water and electricity issues back then, not sure how it is now. Personal ambulances were there for any kind of medical emergency.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

Some seniors were helpful. It all depended on how good you are at networking. Some of us are still in contact but by self-interest and Facebook groups.

Admission

We went for counselling of AIEEE. Chose the discipline and college we were interested for. Once we got the seat, we went to the college. There we were greeted by admission cell people, they explained us the fee structure and what all facilities are provided by the college. We paid for 1 year fee and hostel stay. Submitted 3 PDC for remaining 3 years of course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

A Complete Review of KIIT University from a Student's View

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

Placements are ok but majority of the placement are for the IT and Cse sectors, but there are some core companies which offers a good packages. Around 40-50 % students pare placed in the companies and more over most of the students are up for the higher studies and cracking GATE exam.

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .
