My Experience in NIT

I really like chemical engineering as it is a branch of engineering which purely deals with one of the branches of science that is chemistry and from industrialists point of view chemical engineers have a major role to play at. Overall the course is great i dont specifically like the cse it courses. The curriculum is good it has good course outcomes which preppares engineers to face problems which are not even known today. Teaxhign is great obviously it is an NIT.

INFOSYS TATA MICROSOFT GOOGLE are some of the top companies which have approached our colege and the top students bagged all of the packages with decent amount ofcourse it is truly what they deserve. Not to mention the tag of NIT has its role to play.

Placements on campus are pretty good starting from 8lpa to 30lpa and even higher for branches like civil and chemical,metallurgy etc. But off campus its totaslly dependent on the skills you possess and the tag of nit only helps you get more reach and importance among those of other college students.

My category is above 5 lakh so i am not eligible to avail for any scholarships as my family's income is more than 8lpa so i wouldnt know much of this. But yes there are many scholarship opportunities and for people with family income below 1lpa their tuition fees is completely free.

There are many clubs and which leads us to more exposure like music debates dance tech hackathons etc. The nature is srinagar is totally magnificent. Students evolve ideas and start start ups from within the campus. So far many metallurgy branch students have started many start ups which are running succesful so far.

Hostels facilities for both boys and girls are great not to mention ythe breath taking weather around in srinagar with great exposure to explore around. Registration process for hostela nd mess are done via website online completely. things made easier.

The eligibility of the course is all dependent on your Jee rank ofcourse, applications forms are provided in csab and josaa rounds. reservations do help and play a major role in getting seats in india's reputed instituions. exams are moderate. Areas for imrpovement in admission process are to make sure you have all the required documents.
