The curriculum is old fashioned and follows the traditional method of enginerring even in computer science and other core branches. The syllabus is vary conjusted and does not focus on real life applications and just prepares the students for nothing and also places a burden on the students.

There are not so many well named companies or product based companies to be exact offering opportunites for interships but there are some to be exact while it mostly dominated by service based comapanies like tcs, wipro, swiggy, etc

We are eligible for the campus placements in the 3rd year but most of the opportunities which come are for the fourth year students and there is no amazon coming on campus for placement most of the offers are from the service based companies which do mass hiring the only high offering company which comes on campus is zscalar and all the offers shown are mostly from off campus made by the students on their own. Although the placement is there for students who do not have any backlog by service based companies as mentioned earlier.

The fees structure is bareable and it also provides scholarships to the students who have an anual income below 2-3 lakh for sc students. The total fees for the whole degree is around 6-7 lakh exluding the expenses involved in hostel and other. There is no scholarship on the basis of merit of student. If you are sc you just need to maintain a level of attendance in the classes and labs which is dependent on department and teachers but that is also managable if you have good realations with your teachers.

There are many fests and events organized througout the year by different departments, of various types too depending on the nature of department . Sports are also highlighted with anual interdepartment matches between departments and several opportunities for participating in the intercollege and universtity to students. The technology is also great with fully functional labs in most of the places except in cet department where it is needed the most We also have the best chemistry equipments. Culutural events are also very great!!

The hostel is very good. The rooms for freshers is usually 4 seater. The rooms are well ventilated and there is a lot of open area outside the hostel blocks. The meal provided by hostel mess is average. The breakfast and lunch is delicious and dinner is average. there is a lot of variety when it comes to daily meals. registration process was smooth.

I started applying for this university after my 12th grade by preparing for jee mains entrance examination as i had already given my first attempt in january i was not so sure if i would get into any iit or nit so i started searching for gfti(s) in my state. Then i came to know about guru nanak dev university by many websites as the fees was bearable and the placements looked very concrete and reliable with 100% placement guarentee. After my JEE result was out i realised i made a very noble reasearch and didn't go to waste. Counselling was great it was almost like a fare arranged in baisakhi. But it was smooth and fees was payed on the spot with confirmation of seat.
