The Good's and Bad's of Gndu (Unbiased)

The course curriculum for this course is well crafted amd covers all major and important topics required for this field. Instead of high level concepts , this course starts from a beginer level that gradually increases its level covering vast and advanced concepts. It also has practical applications in real-world scenarios which makes it more relevant for professionals interested. Exams occur more frequently than they should which makes it difficult for us to focus on our hobbies and interests.

Campus placements starts from 3rd semester but i would suggest not to have high hopes for placements as there are little to no placements offered in the university and the pakages offered here are not that good. TCS, WIPRO, Z-SCALAR, SWIGGY, ZOMATO, HDFC, AKASH, these are few companies that have visited this campus. Companies dont make a good offer and very few people get placed in campus placements. I've no strict plans for future but i would try for offcampus placements.

Tution fee has increased significantly as compared to previous years. The complete estimated cost for 4 year btech cse course is 7-8lacs excluding personal expenses. The scholarship here is designed in a way where people who can't afford to pay fee , are given 100% scholarship.

Every year 'JASHAN' is held where students from all the departments participate and winners are declared based on there performance. All kinds of books are availbale in the library , i would say library is the best part of this university. Classrooms are very basic just like we have in our schools , i expected projecters in our classes and a better seating chairs. Sports is the strongest part of our university , it has the best athelets of all the sports you can imagine.

Rooms in the boys hostel are very tight with four beds in one room , which is major downside of the university. Walls are very old and dusty like a jail cell (literally). The foood served in the mess for the boys hostel is not up to the mark and requires improvement in terms of taste and quality.

Anyone who appeared in the jee mains exam is eliglible for admissions in Btech . Cutoff for cse general category in 2023 was 180000. I would recommend a rank near 150000 to be sure for admission in btech cse branch (for general). Cutoff for obc category was near 300000 and for sc category was 850000. We can find application form on the official website of gndu and fee for filling application form was 2200inr. The admission process was smooth and i didnt face any issue during my admission.
