- They have a really tiring schedule. You really have to attend classes and be in college from 8-5.
- And then you have travel 2 hours to get home.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am doing B.sc.(Life sciences), which should be chosen if you come from biology background in class 12th and want to opt for teaching or research work as career. You can also prepare for other competitive exams as well. The curriculum focuses on zoology, botany and chemistry. So, you can apply for masters in any of them and make a career in any subject you are interested in. Both practical as well as theoretical knowledge is given. Side by side you can learn other things as well by the additional courses provided by DU like finance management, coding, ayuveda, IT skills etc.
Internships Opportunities
We are told about the available interships on whatsapp. They have roles like content writer, graphic designer, sales manager etc. The stipend varies for different jobs from 1k to 15k. But you have to look for the things by youself. No one is there to explain things to you about interships and all. You have to figure out all by yourself.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is really affordable which is less than 15000 per year. Moreover, college provides scholarships as well every now and then for students who come from finacially weak background. College provides internships to students to polish thier skills and get some stipend. Other than the course fees you don't have to pay any charges for anything except examination fee which varies from 1500-2500 depending on the courses you chose.
Campus Life
The campus life is amazing. The college organises fests for children every now and then. The college campus is very beautiful amd spacious. You can make good memories there. College has society and courses for every hobby that you can have like dancing, singing, spots, debate, art, technology etc. You can learn good leadship skills there. They have a big library to which you have access all the time. You can enjoy studying there for as long as you want. You can also get books issued for home if you want.
Admission
Maitreyi College is a part of Delhi University. For admission you need to take CUET exam conducted by NTA. To pass the exam you just need to focus on your class 12th syllabus. Expected cut off to get good college is 550-600/800 for sciences. You can easily get good south campus college in this cut off. You can apply for other colleges of Delhi University as well by taking CUET exam.
