One of the best institute for technical education

Overall it is one of the best institutes to get the knowledge of their own field of interest. People here are very supportive whether it is from management or faculty.

For enhancing my technical knowledge in the domain of my interest. It was my childhood dream to study in IIT so eventually i am very happy to be here. After one year of my degree, i learned so many new things that it really helps me to increase my knowledge in the domain.

Overall the course is good. Though some subject we have already studied in our graduate course the contents of those subject here are very much up-to-date and research-oriented which is very helpful for those who want to go for further study.

Yes, they do. But I have to know knowledge about the stipends. I saw many students come from different colleges to take the internship courses here.

Placement here is excellent. Almost 90% of the candidate those who enrolled for the placement in last year are placed. Many tech giants are coming here over the years for a placement. So if the candidate does some hard work of their own there is nothing to worry about.

There is an annual function held in every year which is called 'Alcheringa'. Apart from that one techfest is organized every year to enhancing and encouraging the creativity in the technical domains of the students. Students from all over India have been joining in those events over the years. Apart from that through out the year many cultural ,motivation talks, yoga day, independence day, republic days etc are being celebrated with great enthusiasm.

For degree i am not aware of any scholarship as i am a masters student. But the loan is available. There are two national PSU bank are on the campus. For masters that qualified GATE can get MHRD monthly scholarship of 12400rs.

Campus life is great. IITG has one the beautiful campus surrounded by the natural sources like hills. One can surely enjoy their stay in the green campus. Institute provides a great platform to the students for enhancing their extracurricular activities. There are cricket field, football field, volleyball court, tennis court, badminton court, hockey court, basketball, one central gym, every hostel one mini gym etc. There are different clubs like musical, sports etc.

One of those institute in India where everybody gets a single room with good faculties in the room. Inside the room, there will a bed, table-chair, wardrobe, study light, fan, light. There is one mess for every hostel. Mess foods are good. Foods are scheduled on a weekly basis. Every month foods menu changed with different items. Breakfast consists of dosa, idli, paratha, banana etc. Milk, tea is served on a pay basis. Rice, roti, dal are common in all mess apart from that sabji,raita are served.

Alumni network is very good. Seniors are very helpful to their juniors. Every year there is an alumni meet is organized.

Most of the courses are semester system. It is CGPA system. The final grades are included with assignments, quizzes, mid-semester and final examinations. Marks are distributed as per the subject convenience. So one has the very regular in their courses throughout the semester to get a good grade.

I prepared for the GATE after my graduation. But because of some financial problem in my home i had to join a job but keep preparing for the GATE as it was my dream. So after 3 yrs of working i joined in this institute after clearing the GATE exam...

Faculties are good. They are very hard working, friendly, informative. They are very keen on what they want to teach and what is helpful to the students. As most of the teachers are working some research in their field so they try to create the course content so that students take interest in further study.
