One aspect to appreciate about our college is its strategic location in the heart of Kolkata, specifically in Sector 5, recognized as the IT hub of the city.
The diverse clubs and societies, contributing to a vibrant campus life, add to the positive aspects of my college experience.
Techno India is very well known in kolkata.

Dislikes

The limited size of the campus hinders my college experience by constraining the opportunities for campus life.
The college lacks transparency regarding its placements, and I have never encountered a comprehensive placement report for any academic year.
The campus is overcrowded with a high number of students.

Course Curriculum Overview

CSBS program includes audit courses taught by instructors appointed by TCS (Tata Consultancy Services). These audit courses, likely industry-oriented, can offer valuable insights and practical knowledge.These courses align with our career goals and the current demands of the IT industry for a well-rounded education. It's common for students to overlook audit courses, but advocating for increased prioritization and credit points for these courses could enhance their recognition and encourage students to take them more seriously.

Fees and Financial Aid

During the admission process, the initially communicated fee structure of approximately 4 lakhs has now escalated to 5 to 6 lakhs (for four-year period). I've observed fellow students availing various types of scholarships and student loans at the college.

Campus Life

The college hosts various active clubs and societies, each organizing its own fest, including sports, literacy, IT, and social themes. These regular events, occurring every two or three months, provide an excellent platform for social interaction, fostering community engagement and allowing opportunities to nurture leadership skills.

Admission

There are different modes of admission: 1.Through Wbjee 2.Through jee mains 3.Direct admission Most of the admissions are through WBJEE. Departments are alloted on the basis of ranks. Management quota is also available for admission.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
