Campus life is very adorable. We enjoy walking inu niversity
Library is very comfortable. We all study there.
Sports complex is very big. We can play whatever sport we want.

Dislikes

Digital facilites are not available. If very few.
Hotel management is very poor. Girls good boys average.
No industrial visits and no pre placement.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course in smvdu is little backward. I am a computer science engineer I need to taught subjects related to coding and computers. But we were taught many different subjects and even medical subjects which has no relation to us.

Class Size: 104Course Fees: INR 142140 per year

Placement Experience

In the 6th semester of Btech we got information about campus placements and we need to maintain atleast A good CGPA. An average package of 5 lakh is provided. Plans are off campus we don't have anything

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is like we paid 1 80 000 for the first 1year academic fee and for hostel and mess services we paid a amount of 43340. In total I got around 2 3340.campus employment opportunities are very poor, we got to maintain a least scores for that. Very rare

Campus Life

Campus life is good. We all work together. Teachers, Staff members and stuedents are very friendly. Many clubs work in SMVDU such as music, dance, art, backstage, etc. Library is neat and clean availablity is assured

Hostel Facilities

Lights, fans, almirahs, beds, chairs, table,. Mess food is very bad and we need improvement. Hostel affordbility is okok. But availabilty was poor before. No I don't rented any room in pg i did updowns before and now hostel

Hostel Fee: INR 43320 per year

Admission

Admission is through Jee mains and Cuet test. Cut off was around 90%. It was very difficult to get admission. First I got another admission branch then further it was changed. Although after many changes and difficulties I got afmission.

The review

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

My NIT SRINAGAR

Placement Experience:

From the starting of 4th year ,we are eligible to sit in the placement and the ratio is almost 65-70 percent percentage head and for it and cse - increff, microsoft ,make my trip ,paypal ,and visa and for civil - L&T and many sales company

My point of view on NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester we become eligible for placements and sit for on campus interviews . In mechanical ONGC , IOCL ,JSW , physics wallah , vedanta and for cse and IT there are companies like paypal , microsoft (internship) , increff etc come for on campus placement.

A student's perspective

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like google microsoft facebook vedanta have visited and offered an average package of around 10 lpa. Highest package is of 45 lpa and lowest of 8 lpa. There is 100% placements of students from core branches. After i get my degree i want to work in a tech company and learn about technology.

The life of student at NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

The college placemts is good the average is areound 10lakh per annum , the comapnies that visit for placements and internships are VISA , MICROSOFT, PAYPAL, GOLDMANSACCHS, NVIDIA, CISCO, WIPRO , L&T , PHYSICS WALLAH, INCREFF , other startups etc. My plan is to crack on-campus placement from a good company.

NIT Srinagar - A Beautiful place but Underwhelming Experience

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.

Nice and Unbiased review of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Katra

I have applied in many colleges and I also get seat in them but the only reason I use assembly because the college is close from my home. Just because of travelling purposes I choose this college. The admission process in our college is not very difficult. The only way to get admission in the college by csab counselling and by college internal counselling.The cut off of the branch is 60 percentile for general students. I don't get any rejection from any other colleges....Read More
