Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

I have interest in Electronics so that is one of reason to take the admission in E&TC eng. branch. The curriculum in first year and second year is good enough that need to be engineer. but in 3rd and final year the there is no relevance of syllabus and specific branch to study. The suggestion is that the syllabus should be realistic and have labs for performance that will create curiosity in students to study and explore the different engineering fields. The frequency of exam conduction and difficulty of exam is overall not bad as an engineering students point of view.

Placement Experience

1

The student are eligible for the campus from the final year of the academic year. After Covid-19 our college facing challenges with companies that they can make the offers to the students The average package is around 3 LPA although very students get more than that but they are self placed they look opportunities from off campus Percentage of student for placement is around 35%. My plans after the degree completion is the higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since I took admission the change in Tuition fees is not seen yet. The cost of tuition fees, services (which are provided by our college is not receives yet ) fees are not value for money . I am from the general category so I receive the EBC scholarship each year. Currently I am a Technical associate at IETE-DIEMS ISF in my college which is the student initiative. Some kind of activity is takes place in out college but the stipend awards or any other awards are rare. The employement or such activity is not entertain in our college which are other than the academic year.

Campus Life

2

The annual festivals took place every academic year, the event are took place around the May month of each year. Only the academic books are accessible. Computer labs and classroom with projector if needed. For sports and extracurricular, they are held only in annual festivals. There are the different clubs in my college but very few of them are active.

Admission

I took admission on MHT-CET score directly into college, the overall experience is not bad but after the admission the process is getting dull and more complicated. I am from General category so I didn't get the benefit of reservation scheme. The difficulty level of the exam is not bad but the frequency of conduction of the exam is not convenient. The suggestion for improvement in admission process is that student must get the overall knowledge of particular college, placement scenario and all.

In Kit college their are some rules for placement drive. In 7th sem companies started to visit our college. During my placement my engineering percentage is around 70 and I am able to attend every drive. Once student get placement offer from one company that student is not allowed to apply next company which package is near to previous company. Placement in Kit college in my year is 70 to 75%. The unplaced students have decided to go for MS.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
