Course Curriculum Overview
The course provides a good real life and industry required curriculum which influenced me to take this course. The curriculum contains only those subjects which are required in the industry and are taught well. For further improvement in the curriculum, the course should also allow students to have a flexible schedule so that they can learn other skills outside of the college too. The curriculum works on a semester based examination pattern , where two sessional examinations are conducted and one end semester examination is conducted every semester The difficulty level of these examinations is high.
Internships Opportunities
Companies that offer internships include smallcase , pace , groww , Preddis.ai etc. Roles generally include SDE and SWE interns or Machine learning interns etc. Projects are unique to respective companies.
Placement Experience
Typically, students start placement journey from 4th year or end of 3rd year. Major companies that visited include Kfintech, Accenture, intuit, American express, aakash byjus etc The highest package offered was 90 lpa and average package for CSE dept is 13.8 lpa and for ECE dept it is 14.8 lpa. Above 85% students get placed every year . Ill be joining a company and start working straight away without a master's degree
Fees and Financial Aid
I personally have not seen any fee hike during my academic record rather , i have seen reducing nature of the fees from 1st to 4th year. The complete academic fees is around 10 lakh rupees , 1,25,000 per semester and around 2.5 lakh per year. There are scholarships provided by the college itself. Scholarships are provided by the govt for backward classes and minorities. I have volunteered for a club so there was no stipend
Campus Life
The annual cultural fest is called ABHIVYAKTI and it it is held in the month of February. The annual technical fest is called TANTRAFIESTA and held in the month on October. The library has a wide variety of books , although its a small library. Mostly the books are academic related and there are very few personal development and non fiction, fiction and other genres available. There is a wide variety of indoor sports available like chess, carrom , table tennis , badminton , indoor gym and a normal gym, seperate for men and women etc and basketball, cricket for outdoor sports. Clubs like e-cell and elevate club etc have a huge impact in the student's life as they provide us with opportunities to showcase our talent through various compititions etc.
Admission
IIITN is a college of national importance as per an act of the constitution and requires JEE Main examination as entrance exam to get admission into. The cutoff for ECE branch was near about 94 %ile for general category students. JEE MAINS exam is conducted twice a year and it is sufficiently tough to crack and get a good percentile. To be eligible for the course , you should have enough scores in the JEE Main exam and at least 75% in your board exams. The admission process after the examination is very smooth and the college assists you in all ways possible to get your seat (admission process). As improvement, the college should consider making transportation easier to assist outsiders in experiencing a smooth admission process
