- Campus life, so many society and clubs allowing students to explore their interests,
- Healthy interaction with the faculty , proper labs with proper instruments,
- Good sports opportunity for students with professional coaches to guide them
Dislikes
- Increasing their intake of students each year degrading a bit student quality
- As i said for the timing same hgoes for the security staff are kind of mean to students but only in the stating phase
- Hostel and campus end timing, you have to inside campus by 8pm otherwise your patents will receive a message for coming late
Course Curriculum Overview
I am enrolled in CSBS course know as computer science and business system , which i feel is a good course . Some might feel the cousre is not good as its curriculum is different from other courses but i strong feel that this course is opening alot of windows for peoples and transforming education to a new curriculum thats more practical and learnable for students
Internships Opportunities
All big MNCs came for the campus placement like amazon, google, jpmorgon, nvidia, etc offering you good packages Also these companies offer a intership to students with stipend You even the last sem as your project sem wher you get no academic pressure from college you can perform your own project or get into a intership programe
Placement Experience
Thapar has a very good brand value and a great alumni connection from allover the world, giving an idea about its placement. College for sure gives campus placement and also offer many intership programes. For the year 22-23 the highest package was 55 lacs with a average of 12-13 lacs . I would also appreciate thapar for not showing their off campus package as highest which was double the on-campus offer
Fees and Financial Aid
Total fee for 4 years is approx 20-24 lacs including the hostel charges which is quite expensive Fee is payable each sem - 2,68,000/- After each year their is a increase in fee by 23,000/- By each year here i mean sem1 sem2 same fee, sem3 sem4 increased fee by 23,000 once, sem 5 sem6 again. That means fee increases by students passing year 1st year 2nd year 3rd year like wise
Campus Life
Campus is properly made which i think i ver good thing with all the facilities. Campus life in thapar is one thing that you will never regret in life. They have proper ground for sports with a place known a sports complex from where you can rent sports items by your college ID card for free . They even have a proper international size football, cricket ground with synthetic running track. Common play area for any sports and even lawn tennis badminton basketball volleyball courts with professional coaches.
Hostel Facilities
Good hostel facilities. But for frist years i would say its not so good as compared to others years but those condition for 1st year is far better than other engineering colleges . But the facilities for higher year are more than 1st year Mess food is also good worth the price. The quality of food is compromised worth 24000 for 6 months
Admission
Their are two eligibility criteria -through jee mains -and through boards Cutoff for year 2023 was around 97 %tile for CS branch And through boards it was 96 % for other state. If you belong to punjab then you can cs branch at lower score of around 95%tile in jee and 92% in boards. College also have reservation for different SC/ST Their are also alot of scholarships that thapar offers to their student in their merit basis Just one thing to consider is its fee structure and its intake of students which they are increasing year by year. Overall its a very good private college coming under teir 1 category and also have a very good brand value
