Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum in smvdu is very versatile, I can even join extracurricular activities and enjoy the fests like resurgence and flashmob, smvdu has many new clubs like music club dance club and the exam frequency is lineant

Class Size: 104Course Fees: INR 141240 per year

Internships Opportunities

Smvdu provides internship opportunities to students from 3rd semester in btech, internship opportunities with other universities and companies, also seniors provide training session for juniors for placements

Placement Experience

Placement is given to students at a good package mostly students get placed, students get eligible for placement from 7th semester and many companies visit like cognizant, etc placement eligibility includes 75% attendance etc

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure in smvdu is quite affordable tuition fee 141240, hostel fee is 20000 and mess fee is 23358, anuall charge is 17000 one time charge is 10000 and security deposit is 10000 scholarship is given to jee mains top rank holders.

Campus Life

Infrastructure in smvdu is very advanced we have different labs like DSA lab, python lab etc and digital electronics lab etc , we have an auditorium named matrika auditorium and club involves students

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility in smvdu is quite good, we have clean rooms and clean bathrooms I am a resident of basohli hostel we have good care taker mess food is also in variety and taste ok ok , registration is simple go to dsw office and get a hostel room alloted

Hostel Fee: INR 20000 per year

I got admitted through cuet in this university I filled admission form of smvdu separately after my 12th board exam then I got an admission offer based on my marks in English physics mathematics in cuet

The review

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

From the starting of 4th year ,we are eligible to sit in the placement and the ratio is almost 65-70 percent percentage head and for it and cse - increff, microsoft ,make my trip ,paypal ,and visa and for civil - L&T and many sales company

My point of view on NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester we become eligible for placements and sit for on campus interviews . In mechanical ONGC , IOCL ,JSW , physics wallah , vedanta and for cse and IT there are companies like paypal , microsoft (internship) , increff etc come for on campus placement.

A student's perspective

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like google microsoft facebook vedanta have visited and offered an average package of around 10 lpa. Highest package is of 45 lpa and lowest of 8 lpa. There is 100% placements of students from core branches. After i get my degree i want to work in a tech company and learn about technology.

The life of student at NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

The college placemts is good the average is areound 10lakh per annum , the comapnies that visit for placements and internships are VISA , MICROSOFT, PAYPAL, GOLDMANSACCHS, NVIDIA, CISCO, WIPRO , L&T , PHYSICS WALLAH, INCREFF , other startups etc. My plan is to crack on-campus placement from a good company.

NIT Srinagar - A Beautiful place but Underwhelming Experience

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.

Nice and Unbiased review of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Katra

I have applied in many colleges and I also get seat in them but the only reason I use assembly because the college is close from my home. Just because of travelling purposes I choose this college. The admission process in our college is not very difficult. The only way to get admission in the college by csab counselling and by college internal counselling.The cut off of the branch is 60 percentile for general students.
