Overall,Thapar University or TIET is a good education centre to study at where there is a balance of academics and extra curricular activities.It is one's own responsibility to keep oneself in a good mental and physical condition.

Because the college has a good reputation due to which I filled the registration form for Thapar University.The college has gained a good reputation because of good academic culture as well as good culture of co-curricular activities.So,as I was unable to take admission in any IIT or NIT,taking admission in Thapar University was a good choice.

Course curriculum is a balanced one. In first year,there are subjects which are common in all branches of engineering. In second year,some subjects are common in various branches of engineering while other subjects are related to the particular branch of engineering. In third and fourth year,almost all subjects are core subjects of a particular engineering branch.

Yes,the college provides internships. Perhaps, the general stipend ranges from Rs.10000 to Rs.20000.Students get internships in reputed companies like TATA and LG if they clear the on-campus interview.

Placement is good and there are sufficient job opportunities. Many departments have more than 70% placement guarantee. The mechanical engineering department has a good record of more than 90% placement in a number of years. So,if academic record is good and communication skills are fine,then there is always a better chance of being placed.

Aranya - technical fest Here in Aranya there are various types of technical workshops arranged and a number of competitions held to entertain the Saturnalia - cultural fest Saturnalia involves various cultural performances.A number of famous personalities are invited in this fest.

Fee structure is expensive.only fee is the major minus as far as an admission in Thapar University is concerned.For Bachelor of Engineering(B.E.) the fee is more than one lakh per semester which is out of budget for many while it might be affordable for some.

There are a number of scholarships available.There is one scholarship named as Merit cum Means scholarship which is given to the student securing maximum CGPA in a year.

They were good.All around the year,there were competitions,extra curricular activities and sports matches which were arranged in a planned manner.Campus life was good.There is sufficient freedom,gender ratio was good,discipline was a part of routine and there was a good amount of diversity.

Hostel facilities are good.There are a number of hostels.The accomodation fee for each is different according to the type of facilities available.For any type of hostel,facilities are good enough to stay.Mess food is good with sufficient food available 3 times a day.There is a good food variety.

There is a different alumni section maybe alumni cell.Senior students are quite helpful.Seniors take care of fresh admissions and orientation activities of freshers quite well.

Exam Structure: There are 100 marks for each subject in a semester. In the mid of semester, there is a Mid Semester Test(MST) of 25 or 30 marks. There are 1 or 2 quizzes of 5 or 10 marks each.Quizzes contain objective type questions. If the subject contains lab experiments, then some marks(mostly 20) are allocated to lab practical. At the end of semester,there is a End Semester Test which has 40 to 50 marks,mostly.

1.Fill the registration form of Thapar University. 2.Prepare for JEE Mains exam and do hard work to crack the exam. 3.Sit for JEE Mains exam and try to score as more as possible. 4.Fill the online counselling form.As per your rank,you might get admission in 1st round or 2nd round or 3rd round. 5.If you don't get an admission,there is another chance of on-spot counselling which takes in Thapar University.

College has a good quality of faculty members.There are a number of faculty members in various engineering departments. They are highly qualified and capable professors having done M.E./M.Tech or even P.hd themselves.They explain academic concepts in a good manner and also give good practical experience in practical labs.
