Course Curriculum Overview

4

Overall course curriculum is pretty good. The faculty teachers and professors are very helpful. You will gain practical knowledge too as all the labs are well developed and they use modern technology and equipments .

Internships Opportunities

3

The companies that comes during on campus placements also offer paid internship opportunities. Besides that you will get mails often for other internship opportunities. This University also collabs with other colleges, like tours in sites to learn more. My opinion would be you should make links through professors and seniors , it will help you in placement and internship too.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placements are pretty decent. The placement coordinators ensure that most of the students should get placed. They bring many companies on campus with an average of 5 LPA. They also mail you about different internships and employment opportunities, so you have to cbe up to date with the mails.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of 2020-2024 is something like this : Hostel fees:22000/year Mess fees : 23558 /year Annual fees: 17000 Tution fees :66000/semester Also you will get scholarship if you will score more than 8.5 cgpa and if you will rank in Top 10 scorers of your class. Placements are also pretty decent with an average of 5 LPA. Also there are other financial assistance you can check on websites

Campus Life

4.5

The campus of SMVDU is beautiful like it's literally in the middle of trikuta hills near katra . You can get a view of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi from University. The infrastructure is a bit old but they maintain it pretty well . There are clubs for each and every activity like Atelier ( multimedia club), dance club , music club , sports club , theatre and many more

Hostel Facilities

3

For boys : There are 4 hostels - Basohli ( old and new) ( New Basohli is new one so it's well furnished) , Vindhyachal ( it's old ,not so good infrastructure but overall good), Trikuta and kailash ( also old ) , Mess food is average , not so good in my opinion everyone has different taste ????. Also there is no specific timing for boys but you have to be there after 8 as attendance takes place. For girls: Timing is a big deal .You have to enter hostel before 8 . Other things Idk.

Admission

The admission process is overall smooth and you will face no problems. During my time there was COVID so they took admission using JEE marks and also by 12th marks. But there is a specific entrance exam for admission in this University. I don't know the level of the exam but it would be pretty easy.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.
