Course Curriculum Overview

It is one of the best institute for Bsc in nautical science. Here we basically learn about various equipment and daily duties onboard a personal has to do and proper methods of doing it. The time schedule is a bit tough one might take some time to adjust accordingly we have a fixed schedule which everyone has to follow The exams are not that difficult if you focus

Placement Experience

The placement starts from 2nd but few cadets also get placed in first year also Companies like wilhelmsen, NYK,FML, Anglo estern, Mol, Chevron, MSC , MSI, Pasific basin and many more almost 95 % cadets gets placed during their 3rd year if left the college also provide off campus placement to it's pass out cadets .

Fees and Financial Aid

My fee was 225000 yearly which include hostel and mess now the fee is 275000 yearly My complete fee will be 675000 and exam fee are excluded these you have to pay per semester exam There were scholarships earlier for everyone but now the scholarship are only for girl cadets

Campus Life

We celebrate fest yearly and some sports events Have enough books which are required We have smart classes and labs There are various sports here if you interested you can take part ,there are some clubs like drama club environment, astronomy, debate , literary etc

Eligibility - eyesight 6/6, average percentage 60 above ,clear IMUCET Forms are available at www.imu.edu.in fee is 700 for sc/st 1000 for others exams ,dates for application april to may Little leniency for obc and Sc/st in imucet Syllabus for Imucet is pcm and general aptitude

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

The Campus Story : the lands of horror.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.

T.S chanakya- a career full of glory

For admission in IMU, one must have 10+2 with having atleast 60% in pcm and atleast 50 % in english. The application forms of IMUCET are released in may- june, application fees is 1000 rupees. SC/ST and OBC enjoys the benefits of reservation and are even relaxed with age limit. Entrance exam was not held on 2020 and 2021 and the admissions were based on intermediate and pcm percentage. I have applied for Tolani Maritime University along with the Indian Maritime University. I have cleared both of the exams. The reason I don't opt for TMI(Tolani Maritime University) as it has too many fees for the BSc Nautical Science program. The reason I opt for Indian Maritime University is that the university is a government University and fees are also reasonable for the program and placements are good. You have to fill the IMU-CET exam for entrance. The admission criteria for the IMU (Indian Maritime University) is that you have to Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks from recognized universities and a minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th / 12th / UG Degree....Read More
