Course Curriculum Overview
Everyone wants to go to cs branch and computing requires mathematical knowledge which is sometimes lacked by ca studenta but mnc branch provides higher level studies for computing as well as mathemarics. It is a very futuristic branch. Many flaws in purely computing branch can be fulfilled by maths + computing combination and new codes can be made with new and better knowledge so it practically prepares for real world. Exams are held in a way that each year we have 2 swmesters with 1 mid sem and 1 end sem exams.
Internships Opportunities
We have various internship progranmea in our college. Seniors get information first about the internships and they help us get this information so that we could learn from this intership programs. Ola company came here for internship.
Placement Experience
Our college had 1.2 Cr and 1.5 crore package in past by cs branch students. We also have 32 or 64 lakh packages although less n. O. Of student get this high packages. Microsoft company don't reach our college as transportation is a bit weak. Average package is around 12-13 lakh per annum. For ca branch placement percwntage is above90 percentage which is less for lower branchea. After getting degree i will work for a placement of above 24 lakh pee annum
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fees should be slightly reduced to around ?80000 and scholaeahips should also be provided to obc and general students as st/SC studenta are benefitted in seat allottment during jee, less Institute fees and also in scholarahipa which breaks confidence of general and obc student. Transportation near nit hamirpus campus should be improved as there is no direct trai from hamirpur and also airport is also more than 60 km away from campus.
Campus Life
Here in NIT hamirpur we have annual cultural festival hillfair and annual technical fest nimbus each year. Almost all books that we require for our studies are available in the library and it is good. We also have a two day sports day called as lalkaar event to promote sports. Some of our classrooms don't have properly working projectors and we have to switch our classes for that which needs to be improved . We also have many cultural and twchnical clubs to explore our personality and keep in touch with our seniors.
Hostel Facilities
Food is not upto the mark. We don't have very good food in mess and it feels like we only eat to live and dont enjoy our meal. In evening snacks we have boring foods and not good food like pasta or maggie even after saying it a lot. Registration process is ok. For first years we have kailash boys hostel. For first years we cannot order food online.
Admission
I was eligible for this course. Actually I had put electronics and communication branch (b.tech) but I did put mathematics and computing branch(b.tech) above it during csab counselling and luckily got mnc branch in nit hamirpur. I had 97.98%percentile . I went though official site of nta to get information about hostal fees, admission fees and dates. I had to clear jee mains to get into this college. Jee mains is held two times each year. NTA also provides previous years cutoff list to get idea of which college and branch I can get so it is good. I m satisfied with nta.
