Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I've chosen computer science branch as it is among the top branches that i had in option. Also the computer science branch of my college is quite promising. Also the college provides us with certain Clubs and societies maintained by students and mentors, it helps students to prepare for the real life problems. Well everything is not perfect here, some improvement is needed in some fields. Amount of clubs are not enough regarding the students interest, hopefully new clubs are getting started frequently and I hope for more such clubs in different sectors to help students explore and advance their interests. Teachers are well educated and good but some of them need to be more friendly with Students. Exams are taken thrice a year, two of which are minor (20 marks each) and a major (50 marks)

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Recently a student from third year got selected for internship in DRDO. Different companies have taken student for internship starting from semester first. They take students as developer, editor, manager or other jobs. I don't have very much knowledge about the projects and all that hepled students crack the internship.

Placement Experience

3

Well, placement totally depends upon your own capabilities, however college provide a really good platform for teaching and training the students for placement. On-campus placement is quite average here but many students also grab very good annual package. Many students also go for off-campus placement as well. Students have grabbed very good placements off-campus like any other reputed college. Students start getting placed from fifth semester but you are more capable then companies might consider you as well. Many companies like tcs, Flipkart, Lnt, Mahindra, tata motors and other have visited the campus taken many students after placement with really good package. Around 60-70% students are placed everyear from CSE and ECE branch. Also the college provides a very good competitive environment for competitive and entrance exams. Many students opt for higher education, foreign studies, and preparation for competitive exams like UPSC, GATE etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Actual tuition fee of the college is around 144k per year, however one can pay per semester fee also which is half of the annual tution fee. If any student is not able to pay the fee, they can take help of education loan and ask the college for extension of date. College can provide that. But most certainly we need to be regular paying the fee. The complete cost of the education for 4 years of BTech is around 8 lakhs that includes all tuition fee, hostel and mess fee, annual fee and other miscellaneous charges. There are scholarship provided to the students who get under 100k rank in JEE main for 3 semesters but they have to maintain a minimum cgpa of 7.5 cgpa. Also among the 10% students of class size who score more than 8.5 cgpa are provided fee relaxation. Campus placement is quite average here but witnessing the other and latest years placement it is quite evident that placement is improving and it seems a promisable future for placements.

Campus Life

3.5

There are some of college's own fest naming cultural fest resurgence and titiksha also sports fest naming Sarang. Also multiple cultural activities and program happen frequently in college own Auditorium named Matrika. There is a Library in the campus with a wide variety of books from engineering to business to language and literature. We can find almost every category books. College has its own sports complex with all indoor and outdoor sports facilities. Students need to get their gears issued from the complex and play. Also there are clubs that teaches students different sports of their choice. Joining these clubs enhances the personality, Teamwork, leadership, confidence, and other problem solving capabilities.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel fee is 20k and mess fee 22k. According to fee of hostel and mess, it is quite good. However some improvements can be done in the variety of food, but overall quality of food is okay. Other state food needs to be included in the mess to keep diversity among food culture. At the time of physical reporting, remaining fees need to be paid and that time only you can pay the fee for hostel and mess also along with other fees. Hostel and mess are very affordable in comparison to many other college. I don't stay in pg but some of students of my class do. But it is more better to stay in hostel as most students reside in hostel only.

Admission

Admission process was quite simple, you only have to participate in the counselling. Students are admitted via JOSSA counseling i.e. through JEE Main and also through CUET examination. You can participate in JOSSA counseling and wait till end round to get the college with your desired branch and if unfortunately you didn't get seat in the college in JOSSA rounds then you can also take part in CSAB counseling. Admission process was quite easy, also the counselling fees gets added to the college fee and you will only have to pay the remaining fees. Students are considered via general rank only but some relaxation in case of rank is also provided to students category wise. If you have a general rank under 100k, 3 semester fees scholarship is provided till you maintain at least 7.5 cgpa score. Three exams are taken per semester, two minor exams (20 marks each) and one major at the end of semester (50 marks)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.
