Good College

The management needs to be improved especially in the Canteen sector.

When the admission for junior college started, my parents and relatives had a respect for this College and also believed in the Parle Tilak Association. My cousin was also studying in the same college and therefore my parents advised me to opt for this college

The course curriculum was average. There was no check on the completion of syllabus. Also, there used to be a lot of confusion about exams dates and results. Many times, the exams were delayed (internal), and also during my Junior College, the exams used to be tough.

I don't know about any of the internships that are available. I would not prefer working at my College.

There are good Companies who come for Placements. TCS is one of them. The students are made aware of new Job Opportunities and also the faculty help students in case of any doubts. They help students to be well prepared for the exams and interview.

There are few events celebrated in the College. Spectrum is conducted annually in the month of December Marathi Vangmay Mandal conducts various events yearly. NSS also conducts various social events including Blood Donation, Tree Plantation, Special Guests Talks on real-world problems, etc.

The fee structure is quite feasible. My graduation costs me around 30k and my Post graduation also the same. The college provided books to that are economically weak. The students need to provide the Income Statement and the college provides them books based on the availability.

There are some good scholarships available. As I said earlier, those who are economically weak are provided books.

The campus life is a bit poor. There is no campus to roam around. The gender ratio is quite good. Also, the Computer Labs are good. There are various competitions held for debate and others. The competition is good and they provide a good experience for students.

There is no hostel facility in the college. The food is provided in the canteen which is run by the external party. The food is not up to the mark and also is not hygienic. The costs of the canteen food are quite affordable. You can get food ranging from Chinese and South Indian.

There is no alumni network maintained. Some students come around to meet their favorite professor and that's it.

The exam structure is weak. Many a time, the exams and the results are delayed. The exams are conducted under strict supervision. Also, the faculty conducts doubt solving sessions days before the exams. The internal exams are usually conducted in the morning session.

I had to fill form for admission giving preferences of Colleges and I had given my first preference to MCC and second to Podar College (Matunga) and the rest were based on distance (how far the college is). Luckily enough, I got admission in the 1st merit list and soon I filled up the admission form and secured my seat.

The faculty is average. There are very few professors who teach from their heart and help the students academically in every way possible. While in Junior College, I remember there were some professors who didn't even knew English. The support from the Principal for extracurricular activities is extremely poor.
