- The college campus is quite good and have well organised by flower to enhance its beauty which makes our free time very good.
- The faculties of this college is good and much better as compared to other AKTU colleges. They are very supportive and helpful.
- The college infrastructure is very good and well manged as they have all the buildings and workshop in such small campus.
Dislikes
- The college campus size is 18 acres which is very small as all the space equipped by infrastructure and very less space for garden and sports courts.
- Some facilities are not available in the college amd labs and some faculties are very rude and not helpful.
- The campus is small so you can be bored in few months and not feel good.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum which is running is proposed by AKTU University. This curriculum is old and not compatible for current industry adn do not ready studneta for industry level work. This curriculum needs to be change and subjects which make students industry work ready should be applied. In KIET, they have introduced some additional coding subjects which help students build a grip in coding languages from starting. This decision is made by HODs of college which influenced me to take admission in this college. The exam is conducted time to time and ends with end semester exam. So the frequency of exams is quite good.
Fees and Financial Aid
This year the college fee was 139000 and it may or may not change next year I can't say. The college fee 139000 includes tution fees, book bank fees, security charge and other charges. There is UP government scholarship program for students who have family income less than 2 lacs per annum. There are many other private scholarships which can help students a lot. The college also provides good opportunities for students internship, community making and connection making.
Campus Life
The college is decent and provides good facilities for education in order to pursue good education and to grab good opportunities. There are projectors in every class to provide smart learning and better understanding of students. The labs of the college is well equipped and have all the basic instruments and materials required in the labs. There is Central Library in the collge which has good amount of books which have core books, management and business books and self improvement books. With these educational facilities, there are many cultural and technical events happen in the college which are Epoque, Innotech, Rann and other social wellfare campaigns. And there are some good clubs in this college namely FOSSCU-K, GDSC-KIET, INNOGEEKS and Koders Korner.
Admission
The admission process is quite simple, students who had given Jee mains exam and scored good percentile and eligible according to the cutoff can take a seat in KIET college. The cutoff for KIET college ranges from 84 to 94 percentile which is quite good. Students who have not appeared in Jee exam can get admission through management quota which is 15% of total seats in a branch. The admission process is conducted by AKTU university in the month of July. The counselling fee of AKTU counselling is 1000 rs and seat accepting fee is 20000 rs which later deducted from the college fee. The admission process is quite simple and smooth but this year they delayed the process and counseling ended in September month which delayed the academics. This process needs to be improve as it cause anxiety in students and many problems. There are many exams conducted in the college which are Pre-CT, CT-1, CT-2 and PUE exams and ends with end semester exam conducted by university.
