The college, in a brief, is fantastic. And it provides magnificent opportunities for students to grow personally and professionally and to achieve the very best they can. Management is also good and helpful.

I used to hear about Techno India since I was in class XI. I knew it is one f the most reputed private engineering colleges in the state. So it was not at all tough to choose this particular college. I also heard many famous companies come for placements in the college. So it was an easy choice.

As the college is affiliated to MAKAUT ( formerly West Bengal University of Technology), it follows that curriculum of the university. In the first year, one has to study all relevant subjects same for all streams. So the basics become very clear. Then comes the stream-wise subjects, which I enjoyed studying very much as you get to learn many interesting things.

Many companies come to the college for hiring interns. Tests are taken to find the student's abilities and knowledge. If a student is able enough and possesses a fine knowledge of the core subjects, he will definitely get an internship.

For placements, the college is no doubt one of the best of West Bengal. In my batch, from our computer science department, almost 100 of 140 students are placed in reputed companies including TCS, Microsoft, Persistent etc and in less known companies like Thoughworks, Cerner, Virtusa, Accolite, Softlink, Bentley and many more. Byzus, Avanti fellows etc also visited to name a few others. It's obvious that most jobs are for software engineer posts but other jobs have been in offer also including sales, hr etc. Highest salary offered has been 8 lakhs per annum from Byzus. Thoughworks offered a 7 lpa package. The average salary offered in overall placement has been around 3.4 lakhs. Lowest is around 2.3 lpa. So the college provides ample job opportunity if the student is good enough.

The annual cultural fest is called 'Anakhronas', which is one of the biggest college fests of Kolkata. Many renowned artists have come over the years. The technical fest 'Edge' is the largest technical fest of the state second to the only techfest of IIT Kharagpur. Extracurricular activities also include a large Sports event. Techno India cricket league is a popular tournament where many students just die to take part in. Literary fest is also organised annually.

the Fee structure is feasible. I paid around 40000 per semesters. Now the semester fee has probably increased by a little margin. The required books are provided by the library, so you dont need to pay any extra amount for books. There is also a tuition fee waiver scheme of west Bengal state govt for students belonging to economically poor backgrounds.

No, actually I am not aware of any such facilities and also I didn't avail any. They may exist, college authority can give information about this.

Campus life is very impressive to say the least. There are numerous extracurricular activities like technical fests, cultural fests, college freshers, literary fests etc. Also, each department celebrates their own get together functions which are organized with great enthusiasm. Robotics is also part of the technical fests. Many talented students can showcase their skills through those events. The gender ratio is not bad. Many departments have almost equal numbers of male and female students. Students of all castes, classes, religions study and celebrate their college life together here. So the campus environment is fantastic.

Proper hostel facility is not present in the college which is the only negative thing to consider while taking admission. But enough mess and paying guest facilities are available near the college. So, the hostel facility is not much of an issue. One will find PG accommodation at walking distance from the college easily.

Senior students are also very helpful. You can contact them and they will easily relate to and help you. Many Alumni are invited in departmental fests, so you can get in touch with them easily.

Exam structures are semester-based as usual. 2 semesters are there per year. So , you have to pass 8 semesters in 4 years. Theory and practicals both are given equal importance in the exam structure. Some subjects are really tough, so you need to study hard to pass and get enough grades on those subjects.

I was admitted through my West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination rank ,which is the state engineering entrance examination held every year. One can also get admission here through all India engineering entrance exam. I had to go for document verification in a said verification center. Then after provisional admission, I had to visit college then had to go through some procedures and pay the fees to finish the admission process. It was easy and hassle-free.

Faculties are highly qualified, very friendly and cooperative. Classes are taken through projectors very often. Faculties never hesitate to help whenever you go to them. They provide the important notes and study materials through soft copy like powerpoint presentations and sometimes hard copy too.
