Entrance Preview

I got through with 12th score 80.72%. Back then it was the score of best 4 subjects including one compulsory language subject. If one these subjects would have been maths then I would have the option of B.Com(Hons).

Placement Experience

We were given the option of trying from centralized placement cell initiated by the delhi university for all university students. However the college didn't had the concept of placement at all. I went for CPC and got an offer from Genpact for 22 k salary which I turned down as I was interested to pursue MBA.

College Events

Like most DU college the most celebrated event of the college was Elections. Pamphlets laying on ground,Cheap sleazy slogans,awesome facilities such as free bus rides,free canteen food etc makes the campus irresistible for one month. Then there were some cultural programmes which were not very happening. Most of us went to the fest of other colleges where passes were to be arranged on the spot.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I completed my graduation with 9k tuition fee.

Campus Life

Gender Ratio 65: 35 diversity fifty percent of the crowd was from Haryana and remaining fifty percent tried the concept of diversity. Campus life the college is situated at a very decent place if you do not know Malviya Nagar. It is very close to PVR Saket,Select City Walk so it is understood where we used to be for most of the day. Library small but had required tools competitions and sports no idea used to hear that our college won so and so competition but never saw any team playing in the campus.

Hostel Facilities

Beat it no complaints at all. Hostel and mess food na no hostel facility is available however one can find reasonable good PGs around the area.

There is no doubt that the faculty was simply too good and the curriculum was designed to compliment CA, CS or ICWA's curriculum. Some of my friends started with these professional courses from 1st year only and they had to study almost the same subject m

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

I have applied all the colleges of Delhi university because I have given c u e t which means common University entrance test so after the completion and admission process started I had a preference this college at my number 32. No I didn't get a direction from other colleges my marks in the cuet exam was 532 out of 800 and I belong to general categories so far it's very hard for the general category student to get admission in a very good course and very nice colleges so far I didn't get the rejection and after normalisation my school gets to low I think after normalisation my core gets detected around 100 marks. As far away you have discussed that I have entered in the college through see you it which means common University entrance test so after clearing that exam I need to login in the du portal after that I have preference the colleges according to my level so it's not tough it's a very easy if you will clear your concept of class 12 exams or subjects....Read More
