Guru Nanak Dev University: The Complete Chapter

The course curriculum for my course is highly aligned to the real world applications. I am doing Electronics and Communication Engineering. It has electronics based subject & communication based subjects . Also my course curriculum is aligned to the industry standards for making the engineer's coding ready. We have some subjects which is related to computer science which help students to know about the software part for the projects. I don't know any area of improvement in the course curriculum. The teaching method are good but if students get the video recording of lecture. It becomes more beneficial for students if they miss the class due to some problems. The frequency of exam is when semester starts after 1 month we are writing the Mid-Semester Test Exam of 1 Hour and after 1.5 months of MST Exam we have to write the final End Semester Exam with moderate difficulty level .

Students from 7th semester are eligible for placement for my course. Approx 50+ companies are offering the placement. Approx 75% student get placed . I am planning to do m.tech in Electronic. I am also sitting in placement.

The fees structure of the course are decided according to the inflation and government regulations. The fees hike is not so big in amount. The regularity of the fees hike is like for every new admission happening for new session the fees hike should be circulated to the respective departments to inform about the fees hike. The complete cost of my education for 1 year is approx 2 Lakh including tuition fees, mess bill etc. The University have 2 scholarship for students. The first one is Fee Concession in which the students get half or full refund for the course only for even semester and second one is poor student aid fund which give the students 100% refund for the fees of even semester. The University Placement cell is good. They inform the student of respective departments to take in the competition, intership opportunities.

The campus life is great. The campus is green lush. The department held two fests one in October and next in April. The library has 10000 + journals in the library. The teachers use the projector to take the class of complex topics. The students run social groups are also available for lot of different social cause.

The facilities given in the room I like we get bed table and also wifi facilities. The meal quality is better. The allocation of hostel room is done in hostel office and allocation of hostel is done at Dean of Academic affairs.

The eligibility of the course is based on JEE Main Rank. You find the application form on official GNDU website under admission section. The application fees of the courses are approx 2000 to 3000. The application are opened after the JEE main 1st session exam concluded. Sometimes It get extended to the 2nd session. Reservation benefits is only available to the home state student having residence of Punjab. The frequency of exams is like semester starts after 1 month we are writing Mid Semester Test Exam of 1 Hour. The difficulty level of the Exam Questions are moderate. According to Me, University should make the admission portal AI ready to verify the document of students to speed up the admission process. The manual process of verify is also good. But it save the time of students & admission cell.
