Course Curriculum Overview
B.Tech is the cource all about technology. Eversince i was kid i was heavily influenced by computers so it was obvious my course choice was computer science major. Computer science is all about connecting dots building logic and using it to create programms to simplify problems. Exams are quiet frequent like every month we have test scheduled they last for about 1 week. The test are not that hard atleast in 1st year because its basic science and maths for first year student so even studying one night before would get you decent marks.
Internships Opportunities
Our college does provide internship and helps student but it only does in 3rd year where as student itself find internship through various groups. Some internships are paid and some are just for certificate. There is a department called CRPC cell which handles all these but in order for college to put effort towards one one has to maintiain its accademics and maintain a good cgpa.
Placement Experience
The placement are good when compared to other aktu colleges where as they are pretty mid when complared to NITS. The average package of cs related branch ranges from 6 to 8 lakhs where as teh highest is 48 lakh as stated by the college. As per last years report almost 90% students get placed. NO companies are around 350 and most of them are mass recruiters. But good companies like IBM FLIPKART AND SAMSUNG AND OTHERS my plan to get a decent package and then continue to move forward in company.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee struture - the yearly fees is around 1,38,999 and is constant (as of now) for 4 year. The hostel fees is 1,03,000 for non-ac rooms all tripple sharing and 1,29,000 for AC rooms. The complete cost of 4 years including hostel is around 10L with non ac rooms, only tution fees is about 5.6L Their are various scholorships and fee waver seats in Kiet which one can avail. There are limited fee weaver seats and if one is able to get it. he or she does not have to give tution fees. Scholarship is also given by UPTU for financially weakend section of the society. which gives 550000 yearly.
Campus Life
The campus is small its not that big its only 18 acres but it is very well maintained and well cleaned. There are multiple clubs and societies from coding to fashion to photography. one has to go through some test or interviews to get into club. There are multiple tech fest that happen here usually online competition. There is one fest called Epoque where the college usually calls a celebrity, Sports facility are very average it has one football ground and one cricket ground and one basketball ground, ONLY HOSTEL STUDENTS CAN AVAIL THESE FACILITIES.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are quiet decent. There are two hostels for first year Cv raman and chandragupt. CV raman is better lookwise where as chandragupt is a litle old but has attachec washroom. the food of the mesh is very decent and its not bad at all. one has to choose at the time of physical reporting if they want to take hostel or not. the rooms are triple sharing and are quiet spacious with table chair and almirah
Admission
Admissions in Kiet is done through two means - Direct (15% seats) and Through UPTU counsil. One has to give jee main exam to get eligible for uptu counsil and the cutoff for all the cs related branches in Kiet is about 81 percentile. JEE MAIN form cost around 1000 for general category. One can give this exam twice in an year. The cost of UPTU form is also 1000. Jee mains is not that hard when compared to jee advance but the maths in jee main is alot harder than 12th level. Rest both pyhsics and chemistry is somewhat a litle harder than board. Once the college is alotted to you in counsil one has to pay 20000 as seat acceptance fees. And from there they have to visit college physically for admission process.
