Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is very nice and all the professor are very knowledge and experienced. Also the syllabus of our curriculum is very thought fully prepared which help us understanding the different principal on which different technoloies work. We have exams twice a year and tere are 2 semester per year.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 52870 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee of semester depend on the odd and even semesters. For even the fee is around 25000 rs and for odd semester the fee is around 28000 rs. Around 1 lakh rupess is spended on living expense. For Jammu and kashmir student the central govt. provide a scholarship which pay all the college expenses

Campus Life

My overall experience in the college is very best they are many different activities with held in our college like culture night. There are many social activities which held in our college by the literary club and the culture club which helps in the Overall development of the students

Admission

For lateral entry first of all you have to compelete your engineering diploma from any recognized polytechnic college. After that you have to apply for btech lateral entry on the Himachal Pradesh technical university official website. Then accordingly you score in polytecnic you get lateral admission in 2nd year

Placement Experience:

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.
