Pretty decent college

I've chosen the mechanical engineering field here, the faculty is brilliant and genuine. They really help you if you are stuck in any problem, plus some of the teachers here are passed out from IITs.

Yeah, college does provide you with internship options, but just the only thing is that you have to find internship opportunities yourself, but you can always visit the website www.internshala.com where you can find the appropriate type of internship which suits your branch and requirements.

When it comes to placement, our college being a branch of VI institutes, we've got many huge companies which visit for hiring fresh engineers every year, some of them being Accenture, Tech-Mahindra, Infosys, etc. The minimum percentage requirement for being eligible for placements is 60%, about 80% of the students get placed from the campus itself, I guess that's a pretty good percentage of students.

The college hosts all kinds of fests, for technical we've got- Sci-tech, Mech-it, for cultural we have the grand Gandharva which is celebrated with pomp and glory, it includes bike/car show, DJ night and many more. We've got a nice big ground where these fests are conducted. During this event, our college is very much concerned about the security and management, and both of them are excellent.

The fee structure depends on the type of admission you apply for i.e. Open, OBC, SBC, etc. I being from open category I pay an amount of 1.18 lac, but I guess that's a hefty amount of fee, but again here in Pune, this is the average amount of fee for open category. For OBC I guess it's only 50% of this fee and the caste-wise the fee structure differs.

The scholarship is not provided as college as such, but the Pune University has such options. You can visit their site, www.sppu.ac.in where you'll get all the details about the scholarship and stuff.

Hostel room is a bit tacky, but we all know hostel life when it comes to food and living is not that good, but I guess our friends make it memorable.

Our alumni network pretty good. The ex-students which are now at a respectable position in renowned companies, do visit the college for guidance for upcoming engineers. Also, the alumni contributed in developing our college and making it a more nicer institute and interesting place.

Faculty is really awesome here, they're very interactive, helpful and genuine. I being from mechanical department, I can assure you that we've got very good faculty members, they support us at each and every point. I've friends in other departments too, they also had the same experience, their faculty members are also brilliant.
