Course Curriculum Overview

The course I chose was mechanical engineering, you can also choose EEE, E&C, CS, Civil as well. The focus on practical learning is the highlight.

Internships Opportunities

College provides some of the best internships to the students, students got the opportunity to visit many of the prestigious Multinational companies as a part of internship across Kerala and outside it.

Placement Experience

Well coming to placements, college does not perform well, but it has placed many students of CS branch as well as EC, For mechanical there is no placements happened.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for me, being a management quota admission, I had to pay 1lakh 15 thousand as a deposit which is not refundable. Tuition fees per semester where 75000 and hostel fees are 45000.

The faculties at Cochin college of engineering were one of the best. They are very interactive during the sessions, helps to share the information as possible, they are really motivating.

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

If you want to be in a controlled environment, focus on academics, make use of some good placement opportunities, and get somewhere career-wise I would be suggesting Amrita University.
