Likes
- The infrastructure and view of the college is very good and calming I can sit there all day looking at the greenery of the campus
- In my branch there is no pressure for attendance which makes me feel pretty easy on my life as I can do other part time job
- The accessibility of the college since not very far away from my home I can easily travel from home to college with my bike.
Dislikes
- Some of the teachers have the ego of course since they are hired by a government still we shouldn't be the member of their ego
- The food here is very mid so we need to go out of the campus to have our lunch
- Few of my batchmates are very irritating so I don't like to stay in college for them
Course Curriculum Overview
I was always a computer science guy and already made my mind that I would pursue computer engineering in future so I was pretty satisfied with my course. the academic course has 2 semester of common subject for all branches then your main subject according to the branch. Yeah there are few subjects related to commerce and arts background which I feel is worthless for guys of engineering like us . exams are held every 4 months of the semester start.
Internships Opportunities
after every even semester in the month of June our college brings in several companies for in campus internships which goes on for the whole month like in 2 nd semester we learnt robotics,AWS, python, editing photos and videos etc etc. It was pretty exciting but also ta the same time it can be boring.
Placement Experience
the students can apply for placement from the 6 th semester. various companies visit our college for placement every year like Wipro,tata,iocl etc etc. the highest package received last year was 20 lakhs and average students got 5 lakhs of package. I would also try for college placements if I couldn't I would try directly to the company.
Fees and Financial Aid
the fee every semester is around rupees 20,000 each so total degree would cost upto around rupees 1,60,000 which I feel pretty minimal.There are scholarships but you need to provide a valid reason for the financial aid .I haven't been in campus employment yet.
Campus Life
the fests are held pretty regularly which I like very much . the main fest varsity week is held every year on March in which every branches student fight for medals in various sports and activities. the library here is a pretty big one almost everything is available in our library. also there are all labs required by students to pursue their specific studies and interest. there are political parties like all Assam student union main office in our college.
Admission
The admission was pretty suprising because I wasn't expecting I would get a government college though I gave state entrance exam CEE for applying in government college. The cutoff was like 40 to get into bio-tech course and 90 into information technology and 130 to get into computer science. Our college has same course for information technology and computer science so I wasn't disappointed.
