Opinion on Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology

1.In terms of relevance, the course curriculum aligns with current trends, industry demands, and real world applications.The curriculum also incorporates practical experiences like internships, laboratories, experiential learing activities(ELCs), capstone projects, case studies, etc. 2.In terms of comprehensiveness, curriculum covers all necessary topics and provides well rounded education in my field.It also offers specialisation and elective courses that allow me to explore specific areas of interest within my field.

Big companies start visiting from 5th semester and offer summer internships and semester internships with maximum stipends of 1.7 lakhs. Companies visiting: JPMC, American Express, Goldman Sachs, Optum,etc.

Students become elligible for campus placements form 7th semester. Few of the big companies that visit are: JP Mogan and Chase, Amazon, American Express, TISCO, Amazon, Microsoft,etc. Highest package offered: 60 lakhs with average package of 10 lakhs.

The tuition fees is high and increases at a fixed rate every year. The total tuition fees for 4 years costs around 18 lakhs excluding hostel fees. Scholarships are provided to students with family income of less than 10 lakhs per annum and also to students who have a good cgpa or are toppers of their branches.

Campus life of Thapar is one of the best and its USP.. There are more than 50+ societies(Tech, Non-Tech, NGOs) which help in overall personality development. The annual cultural tech fest, Saturnalia is one of the biggest fests of North India with artists like Gajendra Verma and Mohit Chauhan who come to perform.

The hostels are one of the best in India with sate of the art facilities. One gets a bed, an almirah, a study table, fan ,AC, attached washrooms. The meal quality is excellent which constantly gets better with student feedback.

1.Counselling was held online on the basis of JEE percentile and 12th PCM marks. 2. You need to have more than 70% marks in Boards to be eligible for ccounselling through PCM and more than 60% marks in Boards for JEE counselling and you need too give JEE for both the modes. 3.Application form is available on the the Thapar admission site: admission.thapar.edu 4.Application fees is Rs. 2000. 5. No entrance exam is held. 6. There is Punjab Domicile quota for thosestudents who reside iin Punjab or have passed their 12th form a school in Punjab.
