CIT Kokrajhar Insiders Review

The curriculum of the courses (CSE, Civil, IE, ECE, FET) of B.Tech is similar as that follows in different NITs and IITs. The curriculum is both Theoretical and Practical based and it prepares welly for the real world applications and for further academics as well. Conducts 2 examinations (Mid semester & End semester) along with Class Tests in each Semester in CIT Kokrajhar and the difficulty level is Medium. Because Questions come directly from the topics taught by Teachers and from Last year's exam paper.

Only the Final year students are eligible for campus placements. As CIT Kokrajhar is a tier 3 college, so very less number of companies visit this college, not includes big Tech companies. In the 2023 placement the highest placement (off campus) was 11 LPA in Tech profile and 7LPA for on campus in Tech profile and maximum students didn't get placed. Only a few students get placement and maximum students don't get placed. I am preparing for GATE and also for Government exams. So after this either I will go for M.Tech or for Government job.

Tution fee increment not happens in this college. Total cost of B.Tech course in this college is RS.2.30 Lakhs (Tuition + Hostel + other fees) (mess fees excluded) for General and OBC students. Lesser for SC and ST candidates. Complete Tuition Fees Refund policy is available, only for Top performers of each Semester. Placement scenario is like other tier 3 colleges and Average placement is 3LPA on campus. Very less companies come to hire in this college.

Each year 2 fests are held in this college. (1) Cultural Fest names "ECSTASY", held in March. (2) Technical Fest names "TECHCRACY", held in November. Central Library of this college has more than 130,000 books and Journals available. Which includes engineering books of all branches, books for Competitive Exams and others also. Classes are well equipped but Black Board and Chalks are used in the class. Lab rooms of are welly equipped with computers and other machines, but some machines are non functional. For sports 2 Vollyball court, 1 Basketball court, 2 Badminton court and 1 Cricket + Football ground in present. Students run Coding, Development, Robotics, Entrepreneurship and Cricket clubs.

For 2 students a room is allowed. For each student 1 bed, 1 table, 1 chair, 1 wooden closet is present. In Mess food offers 3 times Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Meal quality is Average. Costs ?6000/semester. Meal is completely Vegetarian. For Chicken, Fish and Omlet charge extra. Hostel allotment is given to every students (who want to take), have to just apply in HMC (Hostel Management Committee). There are 3-4 PGs present near the college.

There are 3 ways to take admission in Central Institute of Technology Kokrajhar in B.Tech. (1) through JEE Mains examination & CITK Counselling, (2) JEE Mains examination & JOSAA Counselling, (3) CITK Entrance Exam Test. The application for the CITK (the CITKrance Exam) is available in the Con theK website mission section. Examination data and the counseling period match with JEE Mains and are sometimes done before. The CITK entrance exam difficulty level is lower than JEE Mains and easy to crack. Fees for general students are 30k/sem (mess fees excluded) 90 percentile is the safe score to get CSE in this college, through JOSAA counselling. There are reservation for SC, ST, OBC and General(EWS).
