Course Curriculum Overview
My course CSBS is, I think very relevant and compressive in terms of today's market. The faculty is very experienced and supportive, you won't feel left out. the experience is amazing and positive. I chose this course because it is comprehensive computer science and business analytics which is going to be the future of this industry.
Placement Experience
There are very few placements in every department this year, as it was last year. the student becomes eligible from the 7th sem to get placed. generally, TCS, Accenture, and Cognizant are mass recruiter companies that select students.
Fees and Financial Aid
SVMCS is a scholarship which is given by the WB govt. and there are other scholarships too but colleges do not provide any scholarship on the basis of merit, which I think is bad. The fee structure varies every year but recently it was 5.50 lakhs. which is competitively less than any engineering college.
Campus Life
Campus life is amazing, Mesmerizer is the annual cultural fest. Multiple technical fests are going on the campus by different clubs and departments, one of the tech fests is organized by CSBS itself, which is Synclipse. The campus of the college is very small, and I was honestly very disappointed with the campus. The library has all course books but no other books, so that sucks. However, different activities are going on the campus every day, so there is that.
Admission
NSEC Garia, Kolkata. NSEC is one of the best colleges for engineering in West Bengal, India. Although the placements have gone down in recent years, still Netaji Subhash Engineering College has managed to be on the top of the game. You can get admission through WBJEE, your rank should be less than 35k-40k for just getting into this college in any branch. however, you will need at least 10k to get into CSE or IT. Class 10th and 12th should be 75%+. you can find the application form and all the details on nsec.ac.in . College is good and on average it's the best college if you want to get into engineering college in WB. Go for it but do your own recher too.
