College campus is good compare to other colleges in kolkata.
Seniors are very supportive they even play cricket with us and helps in coding too
College placement is quiet decent. Many students get placed every year.

Dislikes

We have surprise test here instead of mid term
The college don't have any fest which i feel it must be there.

Course Curriculum Overview

I was very passionate about coding. So I took computer science engineering as my branch so I could learn coding skills. And the college helped me to learn coding in an easy way so I could solve various coding questions.

Class Size: 180Course Fees: INR 400000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fee for this course is 4,00,000. And we took over all expenses it came to around 1.6lakh approximately like room rent food expenses and travel expenses. My college has a good rate of placement. Many students got decent packages.

Campus Life

We don't have annual fest type..but in college we have so many cultural fest which represent out culture. We have GDSC in our campus. We have fully air conditioned library with the variety of books. We got annual sports day too.

Admission

The admission process was quite simple. Just we have to take out documents and we are enrolled. I got 600 ranks in wbjee. However, I was not from Bengal, I couldn't get to Jadavpur University. So I decided to get admission in HITK

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
