From semester 7 students are eligible for campus placements.. Infosys, wipro, tata exlsi are some of the companies visited.. In safety dept almost 100% gets placed.. And 90% for other departments.. My plan is to get placed

Fees and Financial Aid

The placement is 98% for safety department and the rest of the departments assures 80%. Complete cost of education is around 3 lkhs for state merit.. Including hostel fees and others There is egrantz scholarship

Campus Life

There is dishna, the tech fest of cusat.. Conducted every year.. The library contains lots of books There are different levels of sports.. From cusat sports to engineering sports There is a ground and facilities for basketball and tennis

Admission

The admission process was a overwhelming experience. The staffs were very supportive, they were there for us for any queries.. The entrance exam was cusat CAT, the cut-off varies with the department. A rank below 1000 is a reasonable rank. First we have to qualifybthe entrance exam, then register for the allotment, There will be a total of 3 allotments followed by 2 spot allotments

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

I have only applied to CUSAT, we i was not able to get admission there i would choose to work in a company. It was just a try from my side, but it actually worked out. For MTech, GATE qualifiers can direclty get the admission without any other exams. They can also avail monthly stipent of around Rs 10000. Other exam for admission is DAT exam which is conducted by the respective department of the course. I have taken the DAT exam under the Department of Statistics , where this MTech Data Science and Analytics is present. The eligibility includes BTech or MSc. Cutoff is majorly based on the number of students writing the exams and the number of seats. So cutoffs can vary. Students are selected based on the DAT ranklist. Spot admission is conducted for the remaining seats. There is also a least chance for students who didnt write the DAT Exam can also get the admission at the 2nd or 3rd spot admissions....Read More
