Course Curriculum Overview
In our college, the teaching process was fair enough. Labs and instruments are good in quality. But our college never took any research initiatives to increase our practical knowledge. We don't have any choice for the elective subject as well. The college would decide the elective subject and we had to study that.
Internships Opportunities
There was no internship provided in our college. Only 2 weeks training session was arranged by our college which was not enough for us in industrial jobs.
Placement Experience
The placement process of our college is not so good. Only TCS come for on campus. Students who have selected in TCS could not get a chance to take part in another placement opportunity. There were no core industries in placement. At my time, the placement percentage was good. Almost 70% was placed. But among them 68% placed in TCS.
College Events
Yes. In this field, our college is ranked as no 1. We have a technical club called Phoenix which is very famous among all colleges not only in West Bengal but also all over India. We won many prizes in robotics. In cultural fest, we organized it in few budgets. So it was not like other colleges, but we have enjoyed very much. Our college authorities always ignore to contribute for our cultural events. So we have to arrange money in between students. As a result, a budget was low.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is fair. As per govt rules, total fees would be 3.3- 3.5 for total 4 years course. But the bad thing was they did not return caution money which had to be submitted on 1st sem which is 30000.
Fees and Financial Aid
This is very bad that our college have no scholarship scheme.
Hostel Facilities
I have not stayed in hostel. And our college have no hostel facilities. Students have to stayed in PGs and mess.
Faculty
The faculty is experienced well. Many of them have a Ph.D. in there field. Some of them were very interactive with students and treated as friend. Teaching standard was fair but not good. There was no smart classes which is much needed in some of our subjects. But the overall teaching process is fair.
