The course, MBBS is obviously a tedious course. It takes guts to enter this course. All it requires is studying n seeing is practically or I can say clinical postings. Unless and until you work you won't succeed. Yes, ours is a research institute. We start doing ICMR research projects from 2nd tear itself.

Internships Opportunities

Yea, compulsory 1yr internship. It will be in 4 hospitals. Victoria Hospital, Vanivila Hospital, Minto eye hospital, and Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital. Since its a government college. The government pays 20K per month for a 1-year internship.

Placement Experience

There will be like no placements in medical college. But all I can say all the doctors of Bangalore Medical College are well settled.

The college will have 3 fests. Kannada Habba- Cultural fest for Kannada. Chrysalis- intra-college fest. Cobalt -Skies- Inter-college fest

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is way more affordable. It's just within 20K for joining, later it takes just 6575 per semester. You need to deposit 7000 for the hostel, and everything is based on dividing system. It comes around 2000 per month.

I am not a hostellite. But the new hostels are good, well aerated, and the food is also good. They also get weekend feast, month end feast and year-end feast. Isn't that cool!!

Faculty

Faculties are well qualified brilliant and willing to teach unless you ask for it. They are professionally awesome doctors. But, yea also they won't care about students. Few of them are not student friendly. But all I can say is that they teach us to perfect, professionally skilled, self-reliable and perfectionists.

The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.

the classes are taken regularly in preclinical and paraclinical subject and some of clinical subjects as well. these are slidepresentation, demonstration and group discussions. there is great learning opportunities. case discusions are done in clinical postings. integrated leaning is not much practiced and would be drawback. library timings are not suitable at all.

Exams are not that much tough, but still passing marks in mbbs course is 40% (cbme curriculum). Last year it was 50% passing marks. The first batch of students is passed out in this year from our college. Now they are doing their house sutgency. Besides they are preparing for their pg studies. Most of the students will opt for higher studies like MS, MD, etc. Our hospital is average with average cases. And specialty hospital construction work is going on.
