NIT SRINAGAR - The place of experience

I am intrested about computer science and engineering from its beginning. So, I have chosen the field to read and create a career in that field. The curriculum is designed to tackle real-world problems and situations. I can easily secure a nice job in that field. The teachers are really encouraging and help us to apply the concepts to real-world problems.

Our seniors provide us the information regarding internships right from our first year. Compute-science students do at least 3 projects as part of their curriculum which helps them in future opportunities.

NIT Srinagar, like other NITs (National Institutes of Technology), offers various placement opportunities for its students. These opportunities include both on-campus and off-campus recruitment drives conducted by numerous companies across different sectors such as IT, engineering, consulting, finance, and more. Typically, the placement cell of NIT Srinagar facilitates these opportunities by inviting companies for campus placements and organizing job fairs. Students can also explore internships, research projects, and other experiential learning opportunities to enhance their employability. It's recommended for students to actively participate in placement-related activities and leverage the resources provided by the institute to maximize their chances of securing desirable placements.

There are many scholarships provided by private companies and from the government(especially for girls ). There is a scholarship provided by the college based on merit. Our college has a training and placement cell which helps students with placements. They help us develop our skills.

Our college consists of cultural clubs, technical clubs which are run by students. Our college consits of fests which are held and conducted by our students. Our college has a great availability of course books, other books, journals in our library as well as in online. Online library can accessed from our college website. Our college has sports grounds for various which are well maintained. A gym is also present in our college. These are monitored by our college Gymkhana by students.

Registraation process for hostel is done while our admission in the college. For girls, a room is given for 2 members. For boys, a room is given for 3 members. Each hostel provides a cycle stand, a mess, a gym. The mess provides a well balnced meal for all the students.

I have attempted JEE-MAINS which is conducted once a year. The cut-off for out college is available in the JOSAA website. It changes every year. Everything regarding admission is provided in the JOSAA website. And the cut-off changes with reservation.
