- No ragging policy, first years are treated like infants
- Good sports facilities and good coaches are hired

- No campus, it is just a building with few lecture halls and labs
- No open spaces for mingling during lecture breaks.
Course Curriculum Overview
I recommend those who are interested in medical field to join this course,or else this course would be hectic for them. During the first year mbbs we would be assisted by the faculties (not like that of school) but after that it is more like self study.most portions would be covered through seminars that are conducted by our classmates
Fees and Financial Aid
Since this is a government college, naturally the fees would be lower than those of privates's.But there are addictional charges like mess bills , electricity bills and establishment bills if u are staying in the hostel.this would not be covered in the hostel fees
Campus Life
GMC kottayam provides you good extra curricular opportunities eg sports and arts where we could compete with other medical colleges in the state .But these are not offered by the college...the college allow us to form student union bodies through election and they organise it
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are overall average..it depends on how u and your roommates manage the room. In a room there would be 4-5 students of the same batch.while staying in the hostel u must pay for bills like electricity,mess and establishment fees which can go upto 4400 per month
Admission
The candidate should pass NEET UG with a good mark cutoff (eg.630/720 general) to get into GMC Kottayam.Reservation quota can be availed while registering for NEET UG exam. Necessary documents will be announced by the government and that should be submitted during the admission process
