In college , we were taught using ppt as well as white board. Those ppts were later provided so we can take help while studying the topics ourselves. From 2nd yr , we go to clinical posting in Tata Main Hospital. They teach us every soft skill like taking consent , breaking bad news to everything related to the treatment , cause , signs , symptoms of the disease. Skill labs help us in learning how to give an injection or how to aspirate . We are taught about the instruments used in medical procedures in class and same is shown in parctical.

Internships Opportunities

Internship is at Tata Main Hospital. There we are taught to treat patients in opd, wards as well as ot. The senior doctors are helpful and supportive. Each month , the intern receive 30000-35000 per month.

Fees and Financial Aid

Course fee is 1609000 which is constant and doesn't increase during 4 year course. We have to pay it at the beginning of each academic year. It includes all types of charges and no additional fee is required. Internship is at Tata Main Hospital where we are taught hands on how to treat a patient. During internship, 30000 is payed per month as stipend.

Campus Life

Each year Manifest is hosted during the month of August. It involves mainly the cultural and literal aspects. Though prizes are given for the sports events which were organized all throughout the year ,during Manifest. College day is celebrated which mainly includes the prize distribution for student's academic success. DJ night is organized during both days. Clubs are not a part of college environment. Library contains all types of books needed in MBBS .

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is good. Double and single ; ac or non ac rooms are available. Rooms are clean and large enough. Mess food is upto the mark. We get food 4 times- breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks. If we want to take a room in hostel , we have to register it during the admission time.

Admission

Appeared for NEET UG exam . After results were out, all India as well as state counselling was done and I got this college in All India counselling. Manipal Tata is a deemed college . Exams are conducted every 3 months as per the NMC curriculum . The questions are moderate to difficult in exams .

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the classes are taken regularly in preclinical and paraclinical subject and some of clinical subjects as well. these are slidepresentation, demonstration and group discussions. there is great learning opportunities. case discusions are done in clinical postings. integrated leaning is not much practiced and would be drawback. library timings are not suitable at all.

Mbbs course is one of the high respective course. We want to face many struggles during exams. But in future we will become excellenct doctor. Exams are not that much tough, but still passing marks in mbbs course is 40% (cbme curriculum). Last year it was 50% passing marks. Placement Experience:

The first batch of students is passed out in this year from our college. Now they are doing their house sutgency. Besides they are preparing for their pg studies. Most of the students will opt for higher studies like MS, MD, etc. Our hospital is average with average cases. And specialty hospital construction work is going on.
