Course Curriculum Overview

Electronics and communication engineering is a good course as it demands high pay. The course by ktu is well structured and will guide you to knowledge of various electronic technologies. The course can be restructured perhaps to involve more technical aspects of electronics engineering.

Microsoft Wipro Oracle Bing Google development services Projects are included with these internships such as building various gadgets and machines under these companies and also personalised teaching of modern technology used by these industries.

Semester 6 is the year in which campus placements occur and many companies like microsoft wipro tata etc give good salary packages for eligible candidates. Highest salary pack offered was 81LPA and average is around 15LPA. Going for higher studies is also a good choice after this course.

Fees is 9650 per annum and for reservation it is lower. Complete cost with be around 15k per annum. For management quota fees varies as per course selected. Many Major companies like tata microsoft google recruit employees from this college with good salary package above 10LPA

Campus Life

The technical fest is called takshak The cultural fest is called sanskriti Both take place in a year usually in November and April. The library and huge and has various types of books. Classrooms are well equipped with smart boards. Sports and extracurricular activities are promoted including swimming as this college has a swimming pool. Various clubs like IEEE, ASME, IEDC etc have relevance here and can help one get more technical knowledge outside classroom.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is well equipped with beds and tables and power points and shelves. A variety of food is available for meals and different menu is available for each day. Hostel registration takes place right after admission and 70 students can avail it for 1st year.

Admission

You must be +2 graduate with sufficient marks. Write keam entrance exam and based on rank that you get you can select a course in this college. Series exams are held once a month and sem exams are held twice a year.

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

I chose this college over other colleges primarily for its autonomous status. This allows MACE to have more current and industry relevent curiculum unlike colleges with fixed university syllabus. Admission to MACE was based on keam rank. Although I had a good rank, it wasnt high enough to get my preferred branch in NIT calicut or CET. I chose this college considering the distance from my home. Good facilities and the environment of the college. This college supports extracurricular activities.
