College is situated in remote area .so transportation is bit difficult

I was always interested in mechanical studies.so I opt to choose mechanical.the area that required to improve is the job opportunities.course is much more difficult compared to other b tech courses .

Class Size: 69Course Fees: INR 40000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Right now I am in 1st semester. So I don't know much more about the internship. But I know that several companies provide internships opportunities for students by sixth semester.I can clarify more about this topic in next years

Placement Experience

College provides placement opportunities starting from sixth semester.several companies approach college for campus interviews like L&T etc.and the placement is very low for mechanical branch compared to other courses.to get a job with good salary package

Fees and Financial Aid

My college fee is very less compared to other private collages .fees is around 10 thousand per year. And the college provides several scholarships schemes like e grants etc.college bus fee is around 10k for every student for 4 year

Campus Life

In my college there are several fest and conventions going on per year. Recently we celebrated holy and iftar. Also we conducted national level tech fest called invento.all sports items are provide within the college

Hostel Facilities

I opted for a hostel out side the college area.fees is around 60000 thousand per year.the meal is pretty average and affordable.and the facilities in hotel is not that great.and every student can afford

Admission

I came to this college by Kerala entrance exam.cut off for mechanical was around 27 thousand rank.and I got 25000 .so the admissions was easy to get even though I belong to general category .the admissions process was very easy

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.
